About my surgery
I posted on July 3rd about my surgery on June 23rd and this is a thread that was lost so I am posting again.

For a total knee replacement I believe everything went the norm. Surgery only took 1 1/2 hours, after the surgery the surgeon visited with my family. He told them," She wasn't lying about her knee, I found a lot more damage then I expected to find."

I only had one MRI of the knee done, two weeks after the injury.
These are the films the doctor was using at the pre-op appointment.

I am in physical therapy 3x a week for four weeks. I have a lot of swelling of the entire leg with a difference of 4 cn.

Been having trouble with scar tissue, I am unable to straighten my leg. Last session the PT bounced on my leg trying to get the knee straight.

I am using a walker and wearing TED hose for 6 weeks, I do have an excuse for white legs.

Thank you for you kinds words and prayers.

Bummer Knees

RE: About my surgery
Glad to hear surgery went well and you are doing okay. Unfortunatly the recovery of the knees with therapy will probably be painful and long. My mother had both her knees done and said the worst part was trying to get her legs extended back to the degree that the doctor wanted.

I wish you alot of luck and pain free days. Prayers are with you.

carpal tunnel recurrence/ neuropathy / RSD.

RE: About my surgery
Thank you everyone, it feels so good to hear from my forum friends!

I had physical therapy this morning and I am making progress in flexion of the knee and gaining strength.

Problem is I am having trouble moving the knee cap and having problems with getting the knee straight. I am told if improvement is not seen by the end of the week it will be recommended that the knee be manipulated will under sedation.
