RE: FLORIDA TRIP
Ok everyone here is the story.
The rates for May have not been posted on the Resort website yet, but will be soon.
They are and will have another unit added to the 2 they already have. all are adjoining properties.
Betsy is who I talked to. She said there will be rates to suit everyones needs.
All rooms are non smoking but smoking is allowed on the grounds and all you have to do is step out the door.
All is handicap accessable with paved walkways even to and from the beach.

Only the suites require a min stay...............
We will receive a 15% discount for any rooms that we book, and they are all different rates, so it all depends on what you need.

The site will be posting the rates soon , and in the meantime she will be calling me back and give me more info on the rooms. So hang in there and as soon as I hear I will let you all know.

She did say that it would be off season and rooms would be less.......
We do not need to make any reservations before the first of the year Jan or Feb .

RE: FLORIDA TRIP
Admin doesnt scare me crowds of people do.....it is a form of PTSD caused by being at overseas bases when people were putting bombs where ever americans were. to include our school buses and airports ,housing, playgrounds and shopping centers I tend to go bonkers around groups of people....it is why Backache and RNVic kept taking me off at the castle......I try to hide it but those who know me know the signs those who dont think I need a stright jacket...mmmmmmmmmmm come to think about it so do the ones that know me.....And to be where I might incounter a group of people who I cant understand their speech makes it worse....I know some of you dont understand this I am not anti social I just dont do well in groups of people.......To be quite frank the castle scared me spitless to many people if you all remember I didnt do the group thing I tended to stay with one or two and if more came around I left.....I really enjoyed my one on one talks and the small gatherings........And between Red, Backache and RNVic they kept me from going Bonkers......please plan without me I will look into it but I doubt there is enough zanax in the world to get me to Florida and a beach or resort full of people speaking other languages

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

RE: FLORIDA TRIP
I have a suggestion, for anyone flying or looking for a reasonable flight.. Check out Allegiant Airlines, they have direct flights to many major destinations. and are alot cheaper than the major airlines. They fly into and out of Tampa/St Pete Really cheap from Texas.....

PS Anyone flying in we will make sure you are picked up at the airports, just let us know your flight schedule. You can fly direct to Sarasota airport , ( the closest) or Tampa.

RE: FLORIDA TRIP
I didn't know she was literally diagnosed, but I knew she had PTSD. This is serious people and as a ex military person, this happened because they were working to make our country stay free of the bombs they encountered. I know the time she is speaking of, and it was a very difficult time for families living oversea where it was happening. Children were affected, afraid all the time, buses were guarded by MP's. Life was consisted of being continually alert that a bomb could go off at the military shopping malls, commissary, and in your neighborhoods. No one was safe from the possibility and threats that were being made on the American's living overseas.

When jayne and Bill came to visit me, they took me to AC Moore, and without describing what happened, I recognized PTSD immediately. When people walked close to us, I saw fear in their faces..jayne I hope this is ok. The family tries but they are continually concerned for their safety and the safety of their families. Please do understand that this is a situation where jayne can't go. Too many people, too many fears and just to many of everything. She is not even comfortable with too many of us at a time.

PTSD, for those of you who do not know what it is, it is a disabiling disease that affects your ability to socialize as you and I do. It affects your sleep because you continually relive the fear that you had when you were in that kind of a stressful situation. I can't emphasize enough that this is a real and very horrible disease that encompasses our troops and that the government has a true concern about. Some or worst than others, but requardless it is real. Jayne told me once, I must get over this, I like people.

So lets plan this trip knowing that jayne will not be able to come, not because she doesn't want too but because she truly physically and emotionally can't. Yes she gave many excuses as too why, but she should not have been pushed in the corner by us even me to go to the point that she revealed what she did. It should have been her choice to tell this when she chose to not because she felt that she had too. If I sound harsh, I apolize. I am more disappointed in myself because I knew it was there but didn't give it a lot of thought in terms of this trip. For this jayne please forgive me. Jayne while you can't come, from those of us who are planning to come, you will be with us in thought and spirit. I know you would be there is if you could physically do it. Love all of you...and please if this sounds harsh the harshness it meant towards myself not all of you. Love you all Red
