I'm going to talk to my work tomorrow, Tuesday. Since it looks like I might be working that day. I work anywhere from 4 days a week to 2 days a week. When I orginally fell, it was 4 days a week, almost 36 hrs. Now I'm down to 2 days a week. Certain people who were off at that time, are now back. Also, since it's summer time, I'm going to be able to pick up more hours. The part I quoted above sounds something like what the Ortho doctor told me. There was something about fat moving over and the muscles being atroified (sp)

Since I only had a 15 pound weight lifiting restriction I was able to work around the lifting part. I work in a country store at a organic dairy farm. So I was able to do a controlled drop, and then move the milk crates onto a flat 4 wheel cart. The pain is more of a deep ache, with some shooting pain. Also, the arm will get locked into position with the elbow at the side ONLY when I have weight on it. Such as lifting something as little as 2 pounds from the table to my mouth or above my head. All the while holding my elbow at the side. No pain, just locked in place. Without the weight, I can move my arm. For some strange reason, the PT was totally mystified at what could have been wrong with my arm. They thought it was something in the bicep. Now with the MRI, we know what's wrong.

What's funny is I'm not sure WHO is paying for all my bills. I do know they are being paid.
Like I said, in the beginning, no one knew where to send me, or could find the accident report papers to fill out. What they finally had me to was to hand write what happened and turn it in. Beleive me, they got no more information from me, than what exactly happened, what I was told to and WHY I was standing on a milk crate and who told me to stand on it.

From what I was told, the owners could just as easily be paying the bills out of their own pockets. They can afford it.

Now taking someone with me that understands what's going on, and be there to ask questions is a hard one. My father wants me to take care of it myself, and not get the job involved, he's afraid I'll lose my job. I've had some family members who've had rotator cuff surgery, and have had successul recovery. Yet again, they had immediate treatment, PT, then surgery.

One reason I've come to this forum was to make sure I ask ALL the right questions, and not let the job walk all over me. This was something that they DID try somewhat in the beginning. The first 4 treatments had been done at the office of the owner of the farm, who's a plastic surgeon. I had 4 ultra sound treatments, before he decided I should have an x-ray. Which by the way, he asked me, do I have insurance? I said, huh? this is what's called Workman's comp. I WAS hurt on the job. No problem after that all the bills were paid. Yet, who is paying them I have no idea.
I do know there was no paper work generated at his office, I filled out NOTHING.

So maybe it's to late, I might already be up the proverbial creek without a paddle.

as for someone going with you, don't take someone from work, take a family member or a friend. If you don't have a lawyer it is time to start interviewing a few. Most will see the first time without charge, they get paid out of any settlement.

Wolfsong, What You Posted at the Top of Your Last Reply is My Injury, and that is the Lower Back. I have a 5lb. Max Weight Restriction, with 1lb. Continuous Lifting. Did I Read Your Post wrong, and You have Back and Shoulder Problems? If so, and You have a Diagnosis such as Mine, Working could Paralyze You. If You could Please straighten Me Out, and let Me know if Your Injury is to Your Lower Back, I may be able to Answer other Questions for You. I only have the Knowledge of Shoulder Injuries from Reading on Here, but I may be able to Help with Lower Back Questions.

opps, you are correct, I do have a shoulder injury. A torn Rotator cuff.

shows what I know about the human body. When it says the scar tissue filled the herniation site, I thought it was comparable to what the doctor told me about my muscles atrophying, and that the fatty tissue had moved into the torn area.
