AM I IN THE TWILIGHT ZONE
Hurt at work 18 months go in Dec 2006
Need neck and shoulder surgery Two attorneys later finally went to ct in March of 2008 Judge ordered surgery Had to wait 30 days to see if ic would appeal Called dr office 10 times between 4-12 and 5-15 Dr cant schedule surgery until authorization from IC Dr office has contacted cm and they refused to fax authorization Contacted attorny 10 times asking for help, hearing, info , help Attorney said nothing he can do- he got me ct order On May 15 IC stopped checks because I didnt schedule surgery yet. Contacted attorney since 5-26 about checks and I just found out about ic refusing to send me money because I didnt have surgery scheduled. Called Dr again and begged for help. I told him I am getting no where with attorney thank god he helped. They have scheduled surgery and since it is scheduled attorney said ic is going to reinstate my money. How can they do this when they are the reason for the delay. How can they punish me I have tried for months to make a appointment. My attorney says it is legal since I did not comply to thier policies/rules I have a gut feeling this is a bunch of bull My probleem now is pre op stuff. I need an MRI and cant get approval or an answer from attorney My dr who is going to do tests and pre op report is also waiting on authorizations from ic. I am so afraid that i AM so close but what happens if my surgery has to get rescheduled due to lack of tests. don't put anything past the ic / since they got away with stopping my checks before i am afraid they will delay surgery and pull it again. Short of firing another attorney is there anything I can do? Any help would be appreciated. "Laughter is the tonic, the relief, the surcease for pain" |

RE: AM I IN THE TWILIGHT ZONE
Queen, the Only Option I See for Your Situation is to Go to Your Attorney's Office first thing in the Morning, and Tell the Receptionist that You are not Leaving without Seeing Him/Her!! Have a List of Your Concerns, and Make this Person do what is Necessary for You to have Your Surgery. Then after the Surgery, Dump them and Look for another! I have had My Attorney Retained for Over 2 Years now, probably Closer to 3, and I have Never had to Wait More than 1 Day for a Response from Him. I can't Understand how some of these Attorneys think, I have seen Many Folks on here with Problems with Communication concerning their Attorneys. I Hope the Very Best for You, and No, You aren't in the Twilight Zone, it's Worse, You have to Deal with w/c!!!
Failed Back Surgery, Chronic Pain, Totally Disabled. Knowledge is Power, Especially in the World of w/c. Learn as Much as You can about Your States w/c Laws, and don't Fight Battles alone, They Use Attorney's, and so Should You!! |
