Tuffy... there are just a few things to consider... first number of pixels ...for instance, if you are only going to print nice 4X6 size pictures 4-5 mega pixels is ok, but for today technology cabilities for the price and if you want to ever print out an 8X10 professional shot you would want to go to an 8-10 mega pixel. I would look at look at 5-10 pixels camera. The above print is from walmart at 8.2 MP. Also think about the otica zoom cabilities which the one above has 3x .. then consider how fast you want it also..size of scene to view a picture from and for you I believe you would like a ful screen picture in the back. Then think about if you want it to have only a USB port or USB and SD slot. I like both. I would not today buy one with a USB port only. Then think about computer compatibility. It will tell you if it is compatible with PC or Mac etc. You want PC I believe. Another componate that I think is a must for me becasue my hands are sometimes ver shaky is the auto focus, and the image stabilizer. Take a look at the one above... and then I have another to show you also. This other one is from sears and it is a group of the photosmart camera's. After looking at these and I think I want a new camera. Mine is an antique. It only has 5.3 MP and a very small screen in the back, and it also does not have a imagine stablizer.... whah as monster would say....I want one...love you and be back with the other directory. Love Red

tuffy this is an example of many photosmart camera's and they are at sears.com Also I noticed one for 69.00 and these can be shipped to the store for no postage cost if you have one close by. I like to order to the home, but I wait until no shipping shows up. For sears, I usually have no shipping times during holidays and the products usually arrive in good shape and faster than they say, but of course that is no guarantee...also father's day is coming up. I have an order setting in my basket at sears now.. for my kids and I am waiting to be closer to father's day to order to avoid postage charges. thanks Red

RE: Need Dig camera advice
Tuffy, here is a better clue. It mostly depends on what kind of pictures you wish to take. Like are you looking to take photo's of things that are at a good distance away? Just photo's of people in front of you? DIG-Cam's can snap a pic so fast, that you catch a rain drop with no blur. Let me know what use your looking for, for I have a couple type dig-cam's, and even a $10.00 one that uses double A or triple A battries that I have work good to great also. Like I said let me know the use you wish. I do have a Kodak with printer port also.
