RE: Wow...guess what I did today....

That's too funny, Sweet. We always have a picture in our minds of those we meet online. I used to have waist length hair. If I do say so myself it was really pretty too. Looked like silk. I guess that's a benefit of having straight hair. It's not black though. Brunette. Now it's cut in a modern day pixie. It's been hard to adjust to it with the 40 pounds of injuries, steroids, quitting smoking, menopause and a messed up thyroid but I still can't seem to change it. WOW! in 1972 I was having my first little girl. What a happy year that was. I guess there are alot of us that are around the same age. I'll be 55 in January. Oh my does that scare me. I need to stop looking at my age as being half dead already and having hopefully 30-40 more years to enjoy. I don't know what got me on that when we're talking about hair. LOL I hope you're not disappointed. I also hope the Castle works out for me and hubby.

Love and Prayers,
CAPSmile

Cap...they can't be more surprised when they see you than when both sweets and jayne were when they saw me. The first words sweets said to me was, "I didn't know you were so short" and jayne said, "You are soooooo short." You do understand that they live amount the mountain tops, and I live amount the foothills. lol smiling..just remembering our first day is great....wait until you get to the castle...and I have my fingers crossed that that is exactly what you will do, go to the castle so we can all meet. Love Red

RE: Wow...guess what I did today....
so many in those middle years, I also am 56 and will be 57 in Jan. But don't think of myself as old, even though there are days when I feel every bit my age. Until injury would ski with the kids, play ball with Grand babies and even for 50th birthday kids bought me roller blades, tried them but ended up giving to one of the kids. Had the long hair wore in braid until injury then had it cut, that was a big mistake as couldn't do it like they did with right hand, Left hand befor hurt. Let it grow out and now have it to shoulder and wear the pony tail, forget the war paint that is to hard to do any more so don't try, just use cream to keep it from being dry. Wish I could meet you all at the castle, maybe next year.

May God send his angels to hold you in his arms

Oh Sweet....you are great! Hotflashes!!!!!!!! I finally got rid of them after 2 years and my PCP put me on Cymbalta for depression and guess what? The only side effect I suffer is the sweating Rolleyes
Drives me crazy. Doesn't matter what the temp is , it feels just like HF.

Red......I am 5'2". Will we be looking in each other's eyes????Wink

RNvic......It"s so nice to see you. Always is. I thought ther e were alot of us that were about the same age. I'm with you. At 52 I could outrun my daughter after my grandchildren. This injury, I guess since it involved 5 body parts, kind of a domino effect, has knocked the wind out of me.

Love to all,
