RE: Feeling better and bored
Hi Tuffy...I will look for a receipe...in 1973 when my grandmother died, my aunts and uncles gave me the one thing that I wanted. I can still her calling "CJ get me the receipe box on the shelf and we will make up a something sweet." I have it in the kitchen in the original box etc. I don't remember and don't like rubarbed pie...so lets see what she has in it..glad you are feeling well.

Also tuffy..you have beeen off of cigs for14 days, congrations, so now remember you gravings are not the nicotine, as that leaves your body in 96 hours. Now iti s your type of envioromental craving such as a handling, smell, boredom, restlessness, type of craving. Good luck friend. I know that this is hard but as sweets said, it can be done. Red

RE: Feeling better and bored
Tuffy...I did find an old receipe with this and that... I really don't like orknow a receipe for rubarb pie... Lets see how this goes...and do whatyou want with it..throw it out. I like it because iti s all written in my grandmothers hand writing.

Crust:
2 T. sugar
1/2 tsp Salt
1 cup of flour
1/2 cut shortning
2T of vanilla and water mixture 1/2& 1/2

Pie Filling:
Line the bottom of the pie shell with 1 c. of cottage cheese.
In a separate bowl put in 1/2 c. of Sugar
Cut up Rhubarb and it to the sugar...how much does state.
In a separate bowl mix:
1 egg
1 T. Butter
3/4 cup of milk
1 tsp vanilla and cinnamon

Pour the custard mixture above over the mixturn in the pie crust. Bake at 400 degrees on the lower shelp. Remember this is almost 40 years old. I have never baked it and do not know anything about rubarb, but thoughtyou may get an idea out of this receipe...love Red

RE: Feeling better and bored
Tuffy,
I'm glad to hear you are feeling better. Great work about the smokes, I wish I could quit. I have tried so many times. As far as a recipe, I will look again but I can't find the cookbook that I thought it was in. You can also go to recipes.com. Try and not overdo things, let your strength come back first.
Love
Vickie
