RE: thank you
I'm so late on welcoming you to our forum. I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself. Don't loan Jayne your Taser until after the castle trip, lol. I can't run anymore if I pi** her off, I don't want to get fried. I know that Crabby was also a police officer who is injured. Hopefully she will come on and say hi. I haven't seen her for awhile but she is probably still busy with moving.

Admin,
Are you going to make a showing at the castle???

Take care
Vickie

backache Wrote:I personally like a 45 or a shotgun.....OOPS there goes that hillbilly in me again.........ROFLMAO I think there should be a show nurses......all of us on here who are nurses could tell stories that would make you cringe.........I am glad your house is OK you take care.........

I know nurses see a lot of craziness. On night shifts I hang out at the ER a lot. There are so many things that happen there. I still wonder why nurses are so nice to some of the jerks that go in the ER. I would have to use the biggest needle I could find on some of them. The nurses at our ER have patched me back up more than once. And they don't make fun of me for whining like a baby when I'm in uniform...LOL! When I had my injury, I was at the ER and the "doctor" told me that I would be ok in 5 days. Thank God for the nurses. When he walked out, they told me to go to a specialist, that there was a lot of damage. I've learned to trust their opinions over the ER doctors.

RE: thank you
Thank you. I'm better today. I was really upset last night. I guess it all just sunk in that it could be a very long time before I get to go back to work. A couple of days ago I was looking at 3-4 months. Now, I have no idea. They have already given me a date for the second opinion. So I guess that's good. It is in a couple of weeks. My father is plotting all of this w/c stuff out for me. He battled and won against them in a 4 year fight. He told me if they drag it on too long, I should stand out in front of Walmart with a sign that says, "Police officer injured in the line of duty. City refusing to pay for surgery"....LOL! I think that would get them. It's a good idea if all else fails.
