hi! i am new here-have a question for you...i reopened my case within the 5 years and had 2 more surgeries-went to ame-am i due temp.total disability payments? thank you!

I know in VA, you are eligable for payments until you are able to go back to work. Have you checked you state's website? There is a link at the top of this page.

depends on your state laws.
looks like you might be california.
if so the 5yr window applies to both td and pd.

make sure the doctor has notified the carrier you are TTD.
your atty can also take care of that for you.
P.S. if your Date of injury was after 4/19/2004 there is a separate 2 yr/104 week limit on TD payments

thank you so very much-my dr. did NOT inform the carrier -just found out AND my attorney said that 'once you re-open you need to be paid within that time or you get no payments'whatever that means...thank you again for all your help1
