RE: Update for last time

Sparkey......sorry I can't answer your question. I don't remember either.

Jayne and Sithie........1st I would like to say thanks for letting us know what exactly is going on with imsickofit. I figured the lack of meds had set withdrawal in. Very dangerous. Nasty IC>

Jayne ...thank you for explaining that all has been tried. I luckily have never reached the end of aid that is out there and through conversations with our friend, which have mostly been about him and his dad, the subject never came up about exhausting all help that's out there. I guess him and I shared but not with his 100% trust of me.Sad Thank God he is in the hospital. He will get help and God willing some wonderful DR. will stick by his side as far as why he ended up there and aid his fight with the IC. I wish him nothing but peace and relief from his pain. I will pray for him as I always do. I don't know if there's anything else I can do to help.
Now know that I have sent huge hugs your way. You and your daughter hold onto each other and enjoy. We will all be praying for her safety.

God bless,
CAP

God is never late.

In the end it doesn't matter how many years were in your life but how much life was in your years.

sparkey Wrote:I was just curious if ADMIN is going to keep IM's name on the site as " banned". I also had a question about when I first came onto this site I do not remember reading anything that tells you the rules and regulations of this site and anything that you had to agree with/sign etc. Is there something I missed on this site before I became a member?

Sparkey,
When you, and others, registered for this board, the very first screen that comes up contains the following statement:

Whilst we attempt to edit or remove any messages containing inappropriate, sexually orientated, abusive, hateful, slanderous, or threatening material that could be considered invasive of a persons privacy, or which otherwise violate any kind of law, it is impossible for us to review every message posted on this discussion system. For this reason you acknowledge that all messages posted on this discussion system express the views and opinions of the original message author and not necessarily the views of this bulletin board. Therefore we take no responsibility and cannot be held liable for any messages posted. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy and completeness of every message.

By registering on this discussion system you agree that you will not post any material which is knowingly false, inaccurate, abusive, hateful, harassing, sexually orientated, threatening or invasive of a person's privacy, or any other material which may violate any applicable laws. You also agree that you will not post any message that can be interpreted as a solicitation. Solicitations are expressly forbidden on this board, and violators are subject to immediate banning.

Failure to comply with these rules may result in the termination of your account, account suspension, or permanent ban of access to these forums. Your IP Address is recorded with each post you make on this discussion system and is retrievable by the forum staff if need-be. You agree that we have the ability and right to remove, edit, or lock any account or message at any time should it be seen fit. You also agree that any information you enter on this discussion system is stored in a database, and that "cookies" are stored on your computer to save your login information.

Any information you provide on these forums will not be disclosed to any third party without your complete consent, although the staff cannot be held liable for any hacking attempt in which your data is compromised.

By continuing with the sign up process you agree to the above rules and any others that the Administrator specifies.

You must click the box that says "I agree" before you are allowed to continue in the registration.

Also, we have published the "Discussion Forum Terms of Service" (TOS), which are currently as follows:

Discussion Center Terms Of Service

The WorkersCompensation.com Discussion Center is open for all to use in order to seek and provide assistance, within the following guidelines:

Discussion Board

1) Use of this service indicates your acknowledgement and acceptance of these terms.
2) Defamatory posts are PROHIBITED.
3) Language deemed foul or offensive is prohibited. This is a family oriented board!
4) Posts providing negative information regarding persons, companies or other legal entities will not be allowed if such information cannot be supported or corroborated via accepted established media content.
5) Publishing individuals contact information is PROHIBITED.
6) Spamming (Multiple consecutive posts or identical posts in multiple threads) is PROHIBITED.
7) We reserve the right to edit or delete posts at our sole discretion for any reason, , including when it is determined that they do not follow our TOS, or are not productive within the mission of the board.
8) Direct solicitations, or posts containing messages that can be interpreted as direct solicitations are prohibited.
9) Wholesale "cutting and pasting" of articles is prohibited, as it is a huge drain on server resources. Provide a link to an article instead.
10) We reserve the right to restrict or eliminate access to this board for anyone who fails or refuses to follow our Terms of Service.

Imsckofits threat of suicide is not the reason for his ban. It was a "cumulative" decision. If you are looking to the above for direct linkage, look to item 6 (Multiple consecutive posts - which in effect is what we have with his "This is private, look elsewhere" posts). Also look to the phrase "you will not post any material which is knowingly false, inaccurate, abusive,". Obviously he was not killed in a car accident as previously posted, so that is part of the "cumulative" effect I spoke of.

I suppose I should shed a little light to the "off board" issue we had. Imsckofit tried two times to change his email address on record to fake email addresses. This system requires a valid email address. Otherwise it would QUICKLY be overrun by spammers. When you attempt to change your address, the system will email a new activation link to the new address to verify it is valid. In this case, since fake addresses were used, we received all bounce notifications. In one of those cases, he used a fake address but an apparently real domain (it was "upyours@a-real-domain.com". Obviously I am hiding the real domain, but we took offense, since it acted as a complete phrase. He just hit an active domain name by accident. The other address was also a physically impossible suggestion).

It appears that our activation notice hit an autoresponder at "a-real-domain.com", and they got stuck in what is generally known as a "loop", repeatedly emailing each other, each email kicking off a response, and subsequent failure notice. The net result is we received HUNDREDS of automated emails as a result of this deception before we could intervene and shut it down.

Now that was a fluke, and he did not intend that to happen, but lets face it, we offer a free service here and there is a limit to my hand holding patience.

Hope that answers some of your questions.
