need some advice
Hi I'am in Texas and I have been on wc since 8/03 I had a fusion L-4 to S-1. Already had an inpairment rating 25% wc got it down to 10% I already have got all my payments. they no longer want to pay for my meds or any thing the Dr. ask for. I have nerve damage on S-1 I'am on ssdi and I have medicare. my qustion is if I tell wc I want off do they give some kind of settelment? Or that's all they do for you.

RE: need some advice
Im confused Tomg .... You said you got all my payments ..... they no longer want to play for anything ...
Did you sign any papers already for a settlement ? Or Are you talking about payments for like wage loss ? You after getting a rating sometimes get a settlement .. There are 3 diff types ... top of the page see the different links in yellow >... Go to hot topics there it tells about the types or also you can go to the state information link for your own states regs . |

RE: need some advice
If the only benefits left in dispute are the medical then they may pay something to avoid going to the comp court over it.

RE: need some advice
Almost sounds like the case was settled with Open Medical.

RE: need some advice
"settlement" is not a separate benerfit or amount; settlement is a reduction/negotiation of unresolved benefits/issues e.g. TTD; PD; med.
settlement is not "extra"; it's "instead of" |
