Every time I went to MD...the MD had to fax a note to employer that I was still not able to work. I found that being xtra sweet to the office gal paid off...as if I needed something (like updates sent to employer) all I had to do was call her, explain my situation, and she made sure the MD signed the statement, and she would fax it to my employer or have it ready for me to pick up.
I would say your best bet is to call MD & try to bump-up your appmnt (tell them why...cause you like to eat and need your check!) and possibly they can work you in sooner.
