When a chicken truck turns over?????????????????? you call your friends and start cleaning,cutting,bagging and freezing..............I got 7--40 lb boxes of breast quarters....it is now all bagged and freezing..Thank you Jesus they were already dead cleaned and plucked....I just had to cut in half and bag and freeze.....no legs and legs are my favorite part oh well Bill is a happy man....96 gallon bags of chicken .........you all wanna BBO party?

jayne... you are so funny...and lucky... I don't think a chicken truck is allowed anywhere near my development... but I do remember when the 100 chicks that my dad would order every year and raise would arrive...that was alot of fun for a young girl..they were so cute expecially under the light ... I use to can them in jars for sandwiches every year... but we would freeze as you have done... what a memory .. you always have a way of bringing them up for me... love Red

Good Lord Red I hope they were grown before you canned them HA HA just kidding. I remember a beer truck wrecked infront of our house when I was little everybody in the neighborhood was happy for about a month.....

oh backache...I love salmon...and I miss it a lot knowing that most of the salmon out here is almost fake in that it is raised in a fish hatchery. We had them on the west coast also, but only to mate and then into the ocean or Umpqua River they went. Where I grew up you could actually see them swimming to a place to mate... most of the river salmon is called steelhead... they were good also, but more of a white meat versus a red meat... Del buys brought in that day salmon from the market... they give him a call and say it just came in and then he makes me salmon for the night... this happens no more than twice a month however...and I would eat it everyday if possible..but I will not eat anything that smells like fish... yuk.... Salmon is so expensive out here..I could almost fly to Oregon...plan a trip and go fishing for what a half of a catch would cost here... more than most any other meats....so not to often, but once in a while is great... Red
