RE: HR Tips of the Week
Hi badboy, I wish my HR person would have been responsible for those benchmarks instead of me. I reported on most of them every month to the quality improvement committee and then again monthly to the doctors meeting and than gave a report monthy of my report to my nurses and CNA's.... loved quality improvement and loved doing more than my original benchmarks so our department could raise the bar for the next year...... as for the rest of it... usually it is all in our employee handbooks.. but the part about mental illness is sort of left out... but we all knew it was an issue... my belief is that if you treat an employee with respect and lower the bar of expectations with immediate accessiblity of the tools they need to do their job...their will be no stress... my buildings became of family... we always had so much fun just being together... that is a long story.... thanks for taking me down a memory lane... I miss it so much...love Red

RE: HR Tips of the Week
Well, the EEOC, ADA, and FMLA have been getting updated all this year. I think it's best to share the knowledge with others. Staying on top of it, helps people down the road that are still working, or going back to work.

RE: HR Tips of the Week
Remember though that the FMLA and the ADA leaves are for job protection. Under FMLA the employer is required to continue your health benefits, if they normally provide them. Under ADA leave, keeping he health benefits for the employee is optional and up to the employer. Under both the FMLA and ADA, there is no salary continuance. That is why and where SSDI, SDI, and Private Disability plans are important to access and one should apply far in advance for any disability plan.
If WC is involved, it depends on your State how long the benefits continue. Thanks BadBoy! Let Go, and Let God...... |
