RE: MethyIPREDNISolone
Today is the last day for this medication, the dose has been reduced over several days.

Last night the nerve pain started and it is very intense, it is stonger now then previous to taking this medication.

Has anyone experienced this when going off this medication?

RE: MethyIPREDNISolone
This Medrol Packet may not subside a nerve problem, it may though help with muscle concerns more. If a nerve is inflamed, then it might help that some. Like any steriod, it is a temp bandaide sometimes. It just doesn't last long enough.

RE: MethyIPREDNISolone
Thanks Bad Boy, I was placed on the meds due to inflamed nerves of the spine.

Attorney's office called the ortho earlier this week to inquire if I have been accepted as a patient.

Still no word!

BK ... My best long term aid from steroids has been by injection or taking Prednisone for 3-4 weeks. It's also tapered off that way but you take it for a longer period of time. Let's say 4 at a time 4 xs a day for 4 days and so on and so forth. The injection is still the best.
Hope you feel better soon.

RE: MethyIPREDNISolone
Right now I am having to go the least expensive treatment route as I am having to pay for treatment via my health insurance. I have to pay $3,000.00 out of pocket before my health insurance pays.

I don't think I will go on this meds again as it is tearing up my stomach.
