How do you know???
If it's going to be another year before I even get a hearing what do you do? I mean work comp payed for eveything up until the doctor put me at MMI and then they approved an IME. This doctor says that one of the surgeries I had done prior didn't work. One finger is completely stuck in a bent postion with another finger close to that. These are the same 2 fingers I previously had surgery one.
I guess that one of my fears is that i will wait another year for this hearing and still get no help. Since I lost medical coverage from previous employer I don't have many options here. It just seems if I could have the surgery done I could be back to work in a couple months instead of waiting for this hearing.
Has anyone else ever had this situation and if so what did you do???
I am tired of being homeless and all i want to do is work but seems we are punished for wanting to do so.
Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!

RE: How do you know???
Rising, I'm not Sure of Iowa's Laws, but here in Pa. You can Request an Emergency Hearing if there are Dire Circumstances, and I Surely would think being Homeless and having to Live with Friends would be Considered One! Please check with Your Attorney about this, and I Hope they can Get things Moving Quicker for You!!Wink

Failed Back Surgery, Chronic Pain, Totally Disabled.

Knowledge is Power, Especially in the World of w/c. Learn as Much as You can about Your States w/c Laws, and don't Fight Battles alone, They Use Attorney's, and so Should You!!
