Ok Everyone Im lost and confused .... First lets say hubby is dead set against getting a lawyer !

Back has been accepted until they denied and then said it had resolved it self . 0 rating

Neck I thought was being covered from day 1 ..After going to first employer doctor She wrote that its not work related ...
Then was finally given a w/c i/c doctor who I said yes it is from work ..so at that time he did write that neck has grinding .. next seen a neurologist .. who treated the neck and report states that along with that he thought pt would be needed ..

But then emg was only done on the left side of arm and leg ..
THats when they denied and stated back resolved by it self even though I seen same doctor on that day(he didnt think pt would help) and He wrote that I continied to have problems on the back... then reveiwed at a later date and said Wow its resolved ... ha ha ..
Then With that letter I went fast to a ortho who found out that I needed the c5 c6 taken care of then found out about the lovely hole inside cord ...

Now Im lost and want everyone opinion .... On the good days It ok but on the bad days I just want to go for it ... make them pay for treatments not use my insurance for I fear its never going to end ... but I worry about doing the chapter 7 also .. but that will be over soon hopefully

So If you have a side please post what you feel and if you can understand why hubby doesnt think the neck would become included say why .. ??????????????????????????????
Help I dont know what to do or say ....



I didnt miss that many days of work really I did alot of trading of days or having someone else just take them!!!!

A sit down with a lawyer is a must.... have your questions all written down and ask get your mind clear.... first visit is normally free....what can it hurt and it just may clear alot...Tell your honey mine started with a cervical and no one wanting to fix it and a 3 thousand dollar offer to settle....I got a good lawyer and had a good doctor and when all was said and done they found alot more wrong got some fixed......we went from near bankrupsy to paying off everything we owned and a bit extra for a vacation. you can bet your first born they have a team of lawyers on their side

Tweety>>>I'm with Jayne. One appointment is free. If you decide not to sign with him that's OK but I would at least get the best legal advise you can for starters. Secondly, I know you don't want to use your own medical insurance but how about using it for a second opiinion on your neck and back and see if they say it's all related to work. Hubby probably only heard at first that your neck is not related to work and alot of time when something changes they just aren't listening and all absorbed in the firs thing they hears. Sorry I couldn't help more. JMO.

I would definetly get a lawyers opinion on this. The W/C have them , and you are at a dissadvantage by not having legal advice. Most don't get payed until they get you money, then they get a percentage. I feel that it would be worth talking to several for free consults, then decide.

The first 8 months of my wc life I did not have an attorney. I did have meniscus repair on my left knee five months after I was injured.

I continued to have problems with my left knee and started having problems with my right knee.

Wc denied medical treatment and I was sent to work with no restriction.

I hired an attorney a month later, and was sent for an IME, I found to need bilateral knee replacements. I also have problems with my back and left hip and the doctors have said this is due to the delay in medical treatment.

Soon I will have the first knee replacement and my back and hip will be added to my wc claim.

And tweety, the medical treatment is only happening because I hired an attorney.

Walking into the attorneys office and hiring him was hard for me to do, I was so frustrated with wc. Hiring an attorney was the right thing for me to do.

Tweety - Why is he dead set against atty? Is it because you can deal with these people yourself as long as you don't have an atty and he thinks that would be better? Is it becasue of the fees they charge? Some people just can't stand atty's, is he one of these people? I think we need to know why he is dead set against atty. I would think he wants to look out for your best interest and it sounds like you are butting your head against a wall at the moment and need some help.

I don't mean any of the above badly, just wondering where he is coming from with the atty thing. Have you looked into getting an atty? Do you know of a good one that will fight for you?

Inquiring minds and all that, LOL???

We went and seen a lawyer 2 times now ok ... back is accepted untill I wanted opinion about my neck then it was denied .. so My insurance is paying for everything now ..W/c wanted to give me a settlement once but since I wanted my neck included I got a letter stating that back had resolved itself ...

so went and seen this lawyer ok she is nice .... but as we were talking she said that we might be able to get back settlement but not sure about neck or other problems Im having ... also the Biggests part of hubbys NO is she gets 33.3% plus ALL expenses .. Which could be a huge amount never know .
She knida said then why do you want to continue this ... you cant be helping at fire dept and also saying that you aredisabled .... which I understand .. but I havent gone out of any restrictions (which not sure on back if I have any or not ) even if I wanted to for it makes for a painful next few days .. I have been hiding from even trying to do any ambulance calls .just dont want to be in major pain after ...

Also I think he has seen how some of the doctors have turned into snakes .. one sec nice and change their minds and then im crying wanting to know how to feel better..asking for more treatment
Thats why I say I dont have alot of faith in the medical community right now (had1doctorsaythatneckwasntworkrelatedalso)... I have always thought that doctors where these great ppl who give you a magic pill or sow you up and make everything all better .. but not that they are just humans playing a guessing game at times ..
I have had doctors say this isnt your problem then have another one say yes it is ...
Even before the denial I had problems even trying to get any doctor to just listen .. So I did write out the lists of whats hurting ... how its tough to do this or that ...
So after that I also think Hubby wants to protect me from more hurt ... I know that I will have to live with this .... But there should be something to make it more comfortable ..
At this point I need to find a doctor who will give me a rating for the back (without a referral)... need to re see the neck doctor about the fusion ... see if it took and also if the synx is caused by job ..
The lawyer says that each of those items might not be included .... I have talked to others but the moment they ask if I have talked to anyone else then its well she is very good.. and they arent very interested ..We walked out of the last appointment with her thinking hmm does she even want the case ?
Hubby doesnt understand How much pain is 24/7 and doesnt go away like his ... but lets just say he got a revisit by his back couple of weeks ago and then I was horrable and said Wow you are acting like a baby ... dont want to move but since Ive had this happen you thought I should continue to stand 8 hrs and keep working for months on end Hubby sided with the w/c doctor once which only pi** me off more ..(I finally asked w/c dr to take me from work thats when he turned into a snake) .. So get your butt up and get to work and deal with it like I did ... and no sitting at your dads place watching tv ... (farmer)
I was down right mean and said ooo boy I have lived with this for almost 2 years none stop and you coant handle 1 weeek ..
So in my opinion he doesnt want the settlement because of the extra expenes if we lose .. And im not sure if I want to give up vollieing .... Even if at this time its just going to the meeting and helping out bingo all the fun stuff for the community ...
One good thing was hubby and son kinda picked up the yard ..... for I was afraid to even try to figure out how to sit down and then try to get back up after lol

So Monster and everyone else ....... I needd a huge pep talk for hubby please ...
