Surprise at Work
I was at work this afternoon on a call, when I heard a little beep and my light on my phone began flashing. This generally means a call from admin. So I immediately thought "Great, what am I in trouble for now??" But finished up my call as the professional that I am, and when I hung up the phone, one of the ladies at work whom I can see from my desk, but never personally met in the 18 months I have been there, told me to go to aux 3 and come into her office. I could also see my personal supervisor in her office, and this really had me worried.

I did as she asked and walked into her office with great trepidation.. thinking the worst and that I was going to loose my job. Instead she handed me a piece of paper with a $100 amex gift card attached to it and asked me to sign the paper. After I signed the paper, she handed me a gift basket full of all kinds of goodies....cookies, chocolate, tea, crackers, preserves, olive oil... all donated from international AVIS locations. Total package was given a value of $150.

Seems that back in February, from the 1st to the 11th, before they took international reservations away from all avis call centers, they had a contest for international bookings. I had no clue about it. But it seems in those 11 days, I reserved the most cars internationally. You could have knocked me over with a feather at that point. But it sure made my day.

Seeing as how I was headed to Wally World after work to pick up a few groceries, I decided that I was going to get the media stick as well as the laptop carry case that I wanted since valentines day when the BF bought me my laptop...and I did. And to surprise him, I stopped at Cracker Barrel and picked up country fried steak, mashed taters, rolls and for him fried okra and corn. I got corn and green beans with mine. And for dessert, I got peach cobbler. I have about $15.00 left on my card tonight ~LOL~.

Hope that y'all have a super Saturday, and if I don't get time to get back on before then, have a wonderful Easter. I will be working my regular shift from 7 to 3:45 on Sunday.

Luv y'all

Angel ^j^
