How can workmans comp take their sweet time with our cases?? Why do they continuelly punish us for what wasn't even our fault???
I cannot believe that right now they are setting up hearings for april of 2009???? What is one to do sitting on my a@@ for another year just waiting to see if they are going to do anything??
If i just had the surgery I could be out of this mess and back to work in 6 weeks but no they want to drag this out for another year.
If I had insurance I would just this fixed and get on with my life. I can see now why so many people give up the fight with work comp.

Hi 1171.........i was hoping you were out there somewhere lol. The surgeon put me at MMI in october even after i would tell him every tine i went that my fingers still hurt. This was in october. My hand now just keeps getting worse. He said this was a different problem even though this is exactly where the surgery was performed.
Work comp approved for me to seek an IME which i did the begnning of january and this doctor was a hand specialist. He told me I could only work 1 handed job and gave me a paper stating so. This was all turned into work comp who now just wants to settle. I can only straighten the fingers that were operated on halfway and it is extremely painful to even bump them. The IME doctor said the surgery I had done was not successful but comp doesnt want to help now.
I lost my job on october due to my hands and lost a second job I had just started 3 days before my ime appt. So my problem 1171 is I have no health insurance and have no income.
any suggestions for me???????

there is a large and growing number of people in this country without access to health care. It's one of the biggest political issues facing the government and elected leaders.

222 unfortunately almost all of us have been through what you are now facing. As a nurse, I told my adjuster after my back was no better in 6 to 8 weeks, it probably wasn't going to get better on its own. If they would have listened to me back then and ran the tests and permitted the surgery my neuro surgeon wants me to have, I would have been back to work by Nov 07. Now here I sit 10 months after my injury my pain increasing all of the time and still no end in sight. Sooner or later the government will see it has made a tremendous mistake in allowing the IC so much power. I just pray that it is in our lifetime.

Hang in there Eagle, I know it's easier to say than Do, but I and many Others have been right where You are. You have asked a Great Question, and if I could Answer it Correctly other than to Say this is One of Their Starving Out/Aggravation Methods, Designed to get Us so Frustrated that We want to Give Up, I would have Surely put into Motion a Plan to Correct This! I have been Seeing More and More Politicians and Dr.'s and Hospital Personnel starting to Speak of the Obvious Problems of this Current w/c System, I Hope that Soon Changes will start to be Made! Now....wouldn't it be great if those politicians took that "bribe" money from the IC's, and to teach them a lesson.. use it to lobby and change the WC laws that allow the IC's to get away with all of this BS and gain financially from it. Maybe then, the WC system as a whole could be revamped and all brought into line where all states have the same rules and regs so that it wouldn't be hard for simple layman like an IW to understand, and be able to get the help that they need in a timely manner.

Oh sorry...there for a moment.. I was having a very pleasant dream that actually is a nightmare.
