How does a doctor come up with a rating? Is there a guide?

RE: Ratings
Most states use the AMA guildlines. Some use the 4th edition and some use the 5th edition. There are a few states that don't use any edition. It depends on what state is being talked about. After that is known, more info. can be given. If you state uses an edition of the AMA guild line you will not be able to view it online, but you may be able to find it in a library.

8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. Jesus died for our sins. Soilders died for our freedom.

RE: Ratings
This is one of the only charts i could find. I'm not sure if it is any guideline even used...but at least it'll give you an idea.
Take care, Lilly

RE: Ratings
I have a few sites that I saved that may be helpful. I think I may have got them from here, or from searching around. Anything helps. Seeing I do not have a lawyer, I have to find out as much as I can. It says Indiana, but pretty much all states are the same, or close to it. http://www.in.gov/workcomp/attorneys/han...rLostWages

carpal tunnel recurrence/ neuropathy / RSD.

RE: Ratings
If your state uses the AMA guides it's not a matter of the doctor
"thinking" what percentage rating he will give you. If that's where his head is at you need to get a rating from someone trained in performing them. The guides are very specific.
