How does a doctor come up with a rating? Is there a guide?

Most states use the AMA guildlines. Some use the 4th edition and some use the 5th edition. There are a few states that don't use any edition. It depends on what state is being talked about. After that is known, more info. can be given. If you state uses an edition of the AMA guild line you will not be able to view it online, but you may be able to find it in a library.

What body part? Some states are now using the new 6th edition depending on DOI...

It's my back w/ pain radiating to my L SI, groin, hip, buttock, outer thigh, and great toe. I live in KS.

This is one of the only charts i could find. I'm not sure if it is any guideline even used...but at least it'll give you an idea.

Have you had any surgical intervention? Have you been placed at MMI by your primary doctor?

No surgical intervention. Have not been placed at mmi. He wants to place me at mmi and thought he would give me a 10% rating

I have a few sites that I saved that may be helpful. I think I may have got them from here, or from searching around. Anything helps. If your state uses the AMA guides it's not a matter of the doctor
"thinking" what percentage rating he will give you. If that's where his head is at you need to get a rating from someone trained in performing them. The guides are very specific. http://www.guidesiq.com/presentations/gt...Guides.pdf |

Thanks everyone! I was able to find what I was looking for on the website stiffnecked sent me. I am seeking out an independent doctor to give me my rating.
