Just made appt with an SS atty...
after the receptionist and I got into she hung up! She said they couldn't help me because I am not being treated in an ongoing manner by a doctor and not taking prescription meds. I told her if she would just listen for a minute she might change her mind and that is when she hung up...okay now I'm pissed so I call back and get hold of a nice lady who after I explained things to some extent sets an appt. for Tuesday at 1:00 in Loma Linda. Don't know if I will actually see an attorney that day but at least I got the ball rolling.

I have BF to thank as he went and got the request for reconsideration papers for me out of the blue. I meant to call an atty last week but didn't so I am thankful he did this for me Smile

So that's my update, I'll see what they say and go from there. I also have an appt with my AME on the 15th of April and I absolutely hate the man so that should be fun. I keep hoping the old fart will retire but no luck yet...and I figure he'll be in a real good mood on that particular day since it's tax day!!!

Hugs,
monster

RE: Just made appt with an SS atty...
Monster, When I had my appointment with the law firm. I met with the office manager first and he took down most of my info. After that I spoke with another lady and she go some more info.. Then I spoke with an attorney and signed the paper work.

It was as if I had to pass the first test (office manager) then the second test (the other lady) before I spoke with an attorney.

I wish you the best.

Hey sweetie Smile First off, how is school going? You haven't said much about it lately so I hope that is a good thing and all is going well for you Smile Thank you for your reply, I figured I was going to have to make it through a paralegal or something. As long as it's not the little beatch that hung up on me everything should be okay. Put me in a room with her and there's going to be a problem Smile Plus, she could hardly speak english and I had to have her repeat everything she said so I could understand her...thankfully I got someone who could speak fluent english the second time around. Maybe I am just a grump this morning Smile

Ooops, I forgot to say I like your new avatar. I need that p.o.'d duck with me on Tuesday I think, LMAO

RE: Just made appt with an SS atty...
Hi tweety...no, I paid to go to my neurosurgeon in January to get an updated report for the SS claim. The last I saw of a work comp doc was in October. The defense atty precluded him from looking at anything other than my neck so at that point I said screw it why bother to go. That and they are refusing to refill the second box of lidocaine patches that he prescribed. They don't really help anyway, it just makes me mad that they are supposed to follow rules but are allowed to break them as they please. I mean this doc is on their MPN list which I was told I had to choose one from that list but yet they won't follow his recommendations. Not sure why I was surprised about that, they have been playing this game for almost four years now.

Off to try and clean some of this filthy house up now and I have class tonight if I am not crippled by then Smile

Hugs,
monster
