question about surveillance
I am from PA I had a van pull up in my drive and a man got out, it looked like he had a camera. Before I could get dressed to go out and see if he needed anything he left. My question is if the IC has you under surveillance can they take pictures of you in your home? I don't think this was the case, I think he was looking for wildlife, but on the other hand our home has an open loft and I often walk out of the bathroom in less than a fully clothed state. I never thought much of it since I do not have neighbors and my dogs usually put up a fuss when someone comes up the drive. I would think it would be illegal to take pictures of someone inside their home, am I correct, or should I take my change of clothes in the bathroom with me from now on?

RE: question about surveillance
I am unsure about the laws in your state. In texas they can take pictures of you in your home, but it is illegal for them to come on your property.

RE: question about surveillance
AQA if that is the case they can't see me unless they are well onto my property because I am off of the road and we own the property surrounding our house. Jayne yes the property is posted. Like I said it more than likely was someone looking for wildlife, but I don't want to take a chance of having my pic taken in my underwear either. Thanks for your answers .

RE: question about surveillance
Backache, in Pa. if they are NOT on Your Property, and You leave Your Curtains Open so anyone can See In, they are allowed to Tape You! If they Trespass on Your Property to do this, that's Illegal. I was followed Extensively when My Case was in the Hearing Stage, and I made sure My drapes were closed, because My Home is close to a Public Street. I Hope this has Cleared things up a bit, and Have a Great Day!!Smile

RE: question about surveillance
I don't think it was a PI, but it gives me the creeps to think people are allowed by law to look into your home, especially since I have no reason to close the blinds at night because I'm so far out in the woods and the dogs always warn me if someone is coming. Hopefully if it was a PI if they got any pics of a naked female it was my sister and not me.

RE: question about surveillance
I live in an apartment, facing the back of the building. I was in the kitchen one night and I saw a flash go off. There was a man standing right outside of my patio and was taking his pix.

RE: question about surveillance
I don't understand it. It's as if they give people the right to be a peeping Tom. Peeping Toms get put in jail for looking in windows, yet IC PI's get paid to do it. Go figure.
