New York..
Hi all...I know I said I was not going to be until after Sunday and I am now finished for the day, I think so I wanted to say hi, and show you a painting that put together today. The four families coming for dinner on Sunday love to go to New York. They love Broadway. The mother who just got out of the hospital has been looking for a picture of the twin towers before its devastation. She use to work there and she had retired just three weeks before this all happened. Her daughter who is my friend asked me if I could come up with something to give to her mother on Sunday. Just one of my projects I guess.. here is what I did tonight...I think I have seen NY in an apple before so I don't believe this is my idea, but I believe it has a nice touch. The picture itself is not very good and I am too tired to try to take another one... so see what you think... love Red

[attachment=641] I was only at the towers once, and they were a sight to behold. I had a staff nurse who lost her husband that day and a neighbor who was a mother and a wife lost her life that day. She lived three houses down from me on my street.. She was only 32 years old. That was a horrible day for me, and I know it was for all americans. Painting this tonight bought back so many memories, my son leaving that night for the golf.. the neighborhood in tears, many meetings at our hospital on safety... as I am sure it does for all of you. I hope it does not stir up bad memories as much as it will stir up memories of why we are proud to be Americans. I know that I am. Love you all... Red

RE: New York..
Oh..I am going to New York in March to see the Jersey Boys... I am getting really excited to see this theatre. I don't go often, but when I do, it is great. Actually this is a big step for me, because I am going alone. My family is not too happy with me about it, but I need to do this. I am going on a train and then getting a taxi to the threatre. I say it is a big step, only now, because of my difficulty with balance and my history of needing to use a wheelchair..it is just an example of how much you all have been a blessing to me...and all your prayers.. love Red

RE: New York..
You go girl....... I love the painting it tells it all. Of course I love all of your paintings. I told The Daver we were going to be painting together and he said "Your not going to wear one of your painting get ups are you?" As I told you before all of my old clothes have paint on them. I'm a good painter, but I sure am a messy one.

GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY AND OUR PRESIDENT!

RE: New York..
I think that painting is great! You did another good job. Just be careful going to NY by yourself. I know it is a big step for you, but being in a big city like that can get very confusing/busy. I have a hard time going to downtown Boston..LOL. I cannot wait to go back to NY myself to see ground zero and the memorials. I have only been to NY once, and enjoyed it very much. Have fun and keep up the wonderful painting.

RE: New York..
Red,
I think you painting looks good, I wouldn't change it at all. Have a good time in NY. I have never been there. I do plan to go someday. What are the Jersey Boys? Is it a singing group, or a play?
