Kansas Injured Workers Send A Strong Message To Legislators
I received the following in the mail today from my attorney.

Kansas has some of the lowest workers compensation benefits in the Nation. There is a lack of vocational rehabilitation training. Insurance company-employed doctors and nurse case managers, huge delays, and frivolous defenses to valid claims make the system impossible to navigate. At the same time insurance companies are enjoying high profits and reaping the benefits while clearly not protecting you, the injured worker.

The Kansas Coalition for Workplace Safety needs your help in raising awareness about the dismal conditions of the work comp system. On February or February 28, call your state representative, state senator and Governor Sebelius and send this short, simple message

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Get off your duffs and fix
Workers compensation for working families!

To leave this message with your Kansas representative and Kansas state senator, call the toll-free Legislative Hotline: 1-800-432-3924.

To leave this message with the Governor, call: 1-877-579-6757.

Why stop with Kansas. I'll call yours if you call mine. Set some dates and put the word out.

Exclamation RE: Kansas Injured Workers Send A Strong Message To Legislators
Count me in!!!! I'm a KS resident....my case was in NE. My attorney actually said that KS has SOME better benefits than NE, but both we're miles ahead of MO....go figure!! I know that KS needs help with their WC system. Had a claim (that I was informed about during this case in the deposition that was in 96 or 97, hmm...) in KS and didn't have any obvious problems...then again, I didn't know that I had a case!!! LOL So, I'll be making phone calls hot and heavy....I've called Nebraska's numbers numerous times already....it's time I do the same for my home-state!!

Let's all pray some good thing will come of this.....!!!

Punk   :0)
"If I were any better....I'd only be half as good as you!!"
