RE: Herniated disk/carpal tunnel
Katicabogar, I'm so glad you have read that before. As it was just last year, the news of carpal Tunnel being a work injury, it had been said the WC IC's are now looking into just that. I too, like you, do think it is work related no matter what. I did have carpal tunnel myself in my right hand, and I do have it in my left hand, the right had been repaired. I know how it hurts. droping things and so on also. it just isn't any fun. I do like also to try and prepare people some also. So, I'm very glad you accepted that. it might only help you down the road. I do wish you luck, as you progress with this also.

RE: Herniated disk/carpal tunnel
Bad Boy, I read many of your comments on this board and I respect your opinion. I am glad you feel carpal tunnel is definetly work related and I am sure many of the judges also feel this way.
I am old enough to remember the times without computers and I know we never heard so many people having carpal tunnel or hand/arms pain before?

Have a nice day.
Kate

RE: Herniated disk/carpal tunnel
An article about neck pain from a surgeon specifically states "Extrinsic conditions that can cause pain in the neck would include shoulder pathology and nerve root compression syndromes such as thoracic outlet syndrome, compression neuropathies about the elbow around the ulnar nerve or the median nerve, and carpal tunnel syndrome with compression of the median nerve at the wrist."

The full article is here: http://www.necksurgery.com/articles-causes.html
Also there is an article on this website about Carpal Tunnel. It's in the Hot Topics section above.
