covered while driving to work

One quick question. If I get in an accident while on my way to work ( In Missouri) am I covered under workers comp? And where do I find that info to take to my boss.

I doubt that you are covered, unless you were driving a company vehicle, or were considered "on the clock"

When does your work day start? Do you get paid from the time you leave your door until you get to your work place? Or are you subject to
"call" while in transit? Lastly is this a company vehicle or are you reimbursed for your mileage to and from your work site?

If your simply driving your personal car to and from work like the majority of people your employer doesn't owe you anything. That's what your personal auto insurance is for...

Thanks for the info. I was told years ago that a person would be covered if they are on there way to work.

to my understanding IF only if you are on the clock are you covererd by WC. We had an employee years ago who was asked to stop at the store on her way to work in the morning. She did, was in an accident, not injured but our employer did pay for the $500 in repairs needed to her car. They paid because her supervisor asked her to make this stop on her way to work, hence she was considered to be on the clock.

The "going and coming" rule precludes comp coverage during your ordinary local comute.
you can be covered depending on special circumstances like: not ordinary and not a comute.
caselaw is state specific.
