RE: Help! Kitty puppy problem...
oh girl, rambling is not a sin on this site; if it was i would have already been kicked off!!!!!!!! you have given Tranny (please give her a different name)
a great home.............now I have had a lot of cats and no bunnies but most cats have no problem with litter training-it's instinct even if they are grown when you get 'em but I don't know if bunny litter is going to cut it-cats are kinda finicky---------as an emergency i have used shredded paper but only 'til I could get some litter (and buy the cheap if it'll be in the garage 'cause I don't see any difference between it and the expensive if you aren't living with it in the house).............. another sign of pregnancy is that as they near term 6 weeks or more their nipples become more prominent and "pink" up-if she'll let you check them and may begin licking their bottoms more the last couple of weeks the table scraps is an ongoing debate------now i grew up with grandparents who had a large, working farm and my paw-paw and maw-maw would be hooting at this advice--------------you can be sure that by the time they got thru buying the right feed for cattle, horses, chickens, goats (well not so much goats) and ew! pigs............the poor little kitties and puppies ate what they got and were glad to get it. The vet was for large animals who had difficulties; otherwise we birthed, vaccinated, branded and heaven help us castrated (sorry, Monster) and gave great care to all the animals. And we had very few losses of our brood. BUT as I grew more cosmopolitan LOL I began to consult the vet more often or maybe I just found the most wretched animals (i'm not even going to start on what all my dog has wrong with her) and learned that as much as they love it, people food is not good for animals in the long run. Some vets and online sites even recommend beginning to add kitten food to momma cat's diet the last few weeks til that's all she's eating and of course she needs to eat more! But, hey, I'm not going to say I don't still slip table food to the babies once in awhile and my mother has an 18 y/o pekipoo that has NEVER tasted dog food!good luck; you've gotten great answers from others and you have to stick around and keep us posted!!!!!!!!! nurse83 "After all, tomorrow is another day." Wishing you a better tomorrow! |

monster Wrote:Wow, I think you should have been a vet Nurse83 monster, heck sometimes I THINK I should have been a vet-------your patients don't talk back; I know they do other things............................ i believe kitty puppies and all other things puppy should be spayed as soon as possible.............ya know that some aren't going to be but if you have ever been at the pound on execution day you would spay/neuter all your puppies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is heartbreaking how people treat animals------------heck it's heartbreaking how people treat people........................................ anyway I've been around many different kinds of animals for a long time as has family and kinda have had on the job training as a vet sub when I lived out in the sticks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! plus dgt wants to be a vet and started volunteering at the university's vet school as soon as she was old enough and now works part time for a vet soooooooooooooooooooooooo sorry so long! nurse83 "After all, tomorrow is another day." RE: Help! Kitty puppy problem...
Jayne hates cats ....I truly feel they are Gods answer to live target practice or in a emergency you can cut em up and use em on a trot line......OK before you all jump my (Jayne's lame attempt to bypass the Bad Word Filter) AGAIN......I am allergic to cats they make me sneeze...not to mention people seem to think I will feed them and they are constantly being dropped off at our farm then honey has to buy em the GOOD cat food and I of course have to get them the plastic litter so the dust dont smother me....I hate cats they are good for nothing as honey feeds them so well most here wont even catch mice except outside then bring the damn things to me and drop half a field rat on my shoes........
NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW I have to eat my words as my youngest son was given 2 ragdoll kittens in a trade.....now the deal was they stayed in his room he cleaned the catboxes and fed em right? wrong the damn things sleep in my bed and honey and I clean and change litter boxes and again they eat only the best....but I just love the ugly little b-asturds and to show how much they will go to the vet and get fixed so I dont have to listen to them howl when someone else drops off another pregnant cat.... As far as the stray..... momma cats normally are very clean and wont use a litter box if they can get outdoors and use your flower bed or the kids sand box......dont worry about her she will be fine and most likley you wont even know when she goes into labor you will just miss her go to look for her and find her happily nursing a whole litter of catfish bait.....then contact your local vet tell her you cant afford to spay and is there a program that can help you most vets will let you pay it out or put you in contact will someone who will...... ;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....

RE: Help! Kitty puppy problem...
Jayne - LMAO. soo I promised I wouldn't tell and although I had to sit on my fingers to keep from typing your secret I didn't do it, LOL...Jayne has kitties she LOVES
You guys look up rag doll kitty puppies, they are beautiful!!!! Nurse83 - Jayne would never hurt a kitty puppy, she takes good care of all animals dropped at her house, it's just sad that people do things like this. I believe the people should be shot, not the animals ![]() BulldawgonFire - Welcome to the fold sweetie although I am sorry you had to seek out a WC sight if that makes sense. We have a wonderful family here...yes, I said family as that is what we have become Everyone is always welcome here so just jump right on in and enjoy the fun and games. Check out ChrisChris' post, she is starting a wonderful contest to win a box of yummyyyyy chocolate (thanks CC, you're a sweetie!). Thank you for the compliment, but monster does not rock...she just "tumps" over when walking, LOL BTW - Nurse is right, I love all animals but for some reason don't like white turkeys and have never and will never cook one of the darn things...Jdx - I also think your momma kitty will be just fine. Kitties are pretty tough and the fact that she has accidentally gotten in your way when you are walking and you have inadvertently got her with your feet will not harm her babies. You have given her a wonderful home and she must be very happy or she wouldn't be sticking around. Now stop worrying and enjoy her company. Also, if you are worried about giving the kittens away then you can try to find a no kill shelter that will place them in good homes. They are VERY picky about who the animals are placed with and have good track records in placing them in permanent homes. ALL my animals are spayed or neutered. Well right now they are all spayed as I have three female dog puppies and one female kitty puppy. I am spayed and BF is neutered as well, LMAO!!! I want BF and I to go to the Price is Right. We will have shirts for each other that say... "I am spayed and he is neutered"...and he will have one that says "I am neutered and she is spayed" or something like that...with our genes we should never have reproduced anyway, ROFLMAO Thankfully we didn't reproduce with each other, LMAO

RE: Help! Kitty puppy problem...
Jayne--------shame on you! I'm ROFLM*AO and now I need something to wipe piddle up with.............you are baaaaaaaaddddddddd but i love you.
Yep when you have a farm people really do just slow down and fling those animals out don't they...................those people should be put on the trot line.............catfish bait indeed...........i do love me some catfish puppies and had a whole batch for supper last night as it's Lent.............you know it takes all us bad hard-partying (yeah, right i really partied for Mardi Gras this year) good Catholics 40 days to shape up...........now no one jump my (Jayne's lame attempt to bypass the Bad Word Filter) about being sacrilegious...........the priest gets me in confession, thank you very much! oh jayne don't you know there is a secret cat signal going out that says "come to jayne's" those kitties have it good at your house; and aren't they just rubbing it in by dropping those dead mice puppies on your shoe as in "see you silly woman I laugh at this food-it is just a plaything!" Oh and Tranny's mom: (have you renamed that poor creature yet) Jayne is soooooo right; you are going to find momma kitty and the baby kitties where you least expect them! actually the kids, if you've got 'em will joyously announce where they found them! and cats are very clean as she said; much more so than dogs! nurse83 "After all, tomorrow is another day." Wishing you a better tomorrow! |
