Louisiana state advice for workers with disputed claims
This is actual language from Louisiana website for injured workers.
Under disputed claims. FAQ.

"While my case is going to trial, what am I supposed to do for money?
Assistance, such as food stamps, may be available through social services. You may also want to contact local charities or churches in your area."

In reality I suppose all states are the same. Louisiana comes right out and says it, so you can appreciate their honesty????

RE: Louisiana state advice for workers with disputed claims
thats wonderful,we also have thing's like that here in jersey, churches, food pantrys, even places to go to help with your rent, utility bills,.
the only thing we are missing is transportation.
ive seen senior's,disable people takin cabs that cost money, why cant the state give them people a some sort of van or bus so they will be able to get to these places.
i drive (but i only have a pickup) i orfered to give an eldery person a ride but she couldnt get in my truck.so she had to call a cab,i asked how much is this gonna cost and she said 7.50 i was like omg,so she paid 15.00 to get back and forth, thats unbelieveable.i feel for these people,i wish there was more we can do. thanks for the ear....linda

Everyone has their day, just remember to be honest and the rest should just come natural.
Be Safe,Linda

RE: Louisiana state advice for workers with disputed claims
there are many people in this country with serious medical problems and no health care and the number is growing all the time.
this is important information and I applaud the state of Louisianna for reminding those looking for help of the alternatives to insurance systems.
For whatever reason many do think to turn to social services and other support groups for solutions.
