confused and need feedback .

hello everyone. just wanted to vent a little.i just found out that my orthopedic doc.has not been sending reports for w/c and sddi. because of my severe injuries i am still receiving w/c benefits.but i have an appointment in feb with ime with w/c. i should b ok with this appointment i hope.now ssdi determinations is saying that if doc does not send report by 1/29/08 i will be denied.i called docs office they are saying because his son had surgery he is now backed up and will have no time to write report.ssdi does not want to hear it. should i not worry about it because ssdi turns you down the first time anyway.i will b seeing doc 1/31/08 and don't know how to approach him about this. being that he might have good reason being that his son just had surgery. i'm hoping its not because he just does not want to deal with these people.Has anyone else ever experienced this.

ask that the chart notes be sent in lieu of a full report. that'll help if there's an appeal.

I was also going to say to ask for a copy of your medical records (which will include the Drs. notes) and tell them that you will come to pick it up yourself. When you request it, ask when they would be available for pick up. If ssdi can wait the 2 days until you see the Dr. then ask the Dr. for a copy of his most recent notes form the past 3 months. He will have your file already out and there will be no reason you couldn't get them that day. Of course you will want to tell he that you need them that day, becasue Soc. Sec. is waiting for them.
