RE: Does anyone play a musical Inst.here??
I havent played my guitar since summer. I have trouble making cords due to problems with the left thumb joint.

My ex and I use to tour with a band in Washington State, would sit-up equipment and run the sound.

monster as always you are the best.... I do remember the combs... lol

grundig, I started playing a clarinet when I was in the 5th grade. Then about a year later we got a piano for our little church and she began to teach me piano. I play mostly by hear, but do know how to read music because of band and then later my mother took me to a piano teacher who could read music and she began to teach me the classic...typically however, I still revert back to our country rhythm playing with cords by hear... I am lazy I think. I also have an accordian and I use to play the organ in church....never quit got the hang of using my feet for the runs etc...but did like to learn. Also in band I played the bassoon when in the 9th grade. I love music...what instruments do you play. I believe you said that you are very active with music today. I really wished that I had stayed at it longer.... love Red

I Didn,t come from "A Well to do Family"
My Father was a cross country truck driver,(18 Wheeler).
I paid for my colledge tuition by playing music.

Grundig,
The drawing you showed is either a blueprint or the electrical skematicatics I believe.

I played classical Viola for 7 years while in school a long time ago. I attempted the french horn for 6 weeks and didn't like it.

My daughter became an excellant flutist, and was in honor bands during school. I was so proud when she was in 8th grade(I think), and was given the solo part of Titantic at an honor band concert. She performed it flawlessly. What great memories.

Take care
Vickie

Gundig

In an earlier post I wrote about trading my sewing machine for my first guitar & lessons.

Well, I did that because I didn't have the money to buy one or pay for lessons.

Never made money playing guitar although I have played at fund raisers for nonprofit origanzations.

RE: Does anyone play a musical Inst.here??
Hi grundig, you must play very well since you played to support yourself during college etc. My college days were very different in that I went to school full time with 3 children at home, and then worked as a certified nursing assistant on the night shift full time. I was a very busy person...I didn't come from a well to do family either. My father doesn't even read or write. He can spell his name for a signature and that is it. Out of 56 first cousins on my fathers side, I am the only one who has a college education and most of them didn't even finish high school.... I am the odd ball out as they would all say.... love Red
