RE: nausea post surgery

Morning all..... CC i also get sick at the thought of being pregnant so i gave prncess the jobBig Grin I have a 29 year old daughter and a 34 year old with 2 kids. They can have the babies. I did my share contributing to society.LOL Did have a good time though.

Talked to PCP last night and have an appt. tomorrow. He seems to think it's vertigo and has something to do with my ears, sinuses or multiple allergies. Maybe, but i still think it;s too coincidental that this came on the day of the surgery. It's still off and on. It seems when i get dizzy it brings the nausea on. yesterday at therapy the room was on an angle for about 10 minutes. OMG i didn't no if i was going to pass out or vomit. neither happenedWink going to do a search on vertigo, nerve blocks, etc. The last time i flew which was 4 days before the surgery i had the most horrible pain in my ear as we were descending i wanted to cry. That was a first for me. then the other day in trying to wash my hair i got an ear full of water. don't know if i got it all out. Will update after seeing the Dr. hopefully someone can figure this out as it's really adding to the mix of disconfort. can't take anything for pain as that makes me worse. so the pain is intense along with the world spinning. Had a PT yesterday who pissed me off. My evaluator told me no lifting from the body. This goof ball had me using pullies to pull my arm up over my head. Surgeon's orders were NO LIFTING AWAY FROM THE BODY for 6 weeks. he's afraid i'll tear the repair to my rotator cuff. Told her what i thought and went about my merry business. Will tell the PT i'll be seeing all the time next week. That didn't help. when i sat up it took me at least 10 minutes to stop te world from spinning and had to lay there for 15 minutes until i could get my breath back from her twisting and pulling it in all different directions. I don't think she even looked at my file or prescription. UGH!

Cap- Do you eat a lot of salt? If so, it could leave fluid in your ears causing the dizzys and nausea. Everytime my dad has more than 1400mgs of salt a day this happens to him and it lasts for weeks. The drs give him valium for it.

Smile Hi imsckofit.............my PCP wants to check me out tomorrow. he's not sure at this point what it is. The anesthesia team said no way. I don't buy it. i think it's a direct result of the anesthesia. thanks for backing me and telling me it could take a month. I don't feel so crazy now.
