The mathmatical answer would be 10,990 legs less the legs the bus seats rest on. But no one knows the size of the bus, hence how many seats the bus is equipped with!

Hi CRABBY... lets see that would be 7 girls with 2 legs each = 14 legs
7 Girls X 7 Backpacks = 49. One big cat for ever back pack for ever bag would equal 4X49 = 196 legs. Plus there are 7 small cats for every big cat so that would be 49X7 = 343 cats. 343X4 small cat legs = 1372.
14 girl legs
196 BIG cat legs
1372 small cat legs
TOTAL 1582 legs...total... most likely should check my addition, but oh well...here goes.. love Red

Do the legs in the backpack actually count because physically speaking although everything is in the bus the kitties legs are actually in the backapck. I have started thinking along strange lines when you guys start asking these kinds of questions, LOL...otherwise you guys know I never think strangely, ROFL Although the girls each have backpacks it did not say specifically that they are also on the bus like it did with the girls....I hate this stuff, LOL
