RE: Diet
Red,
I would love to be able to lose 50 pounds, but I can't see that happening in 12 weeks, lol. I will set my goal low at 15 pounds. Do you or anyone have any suggestion for getting my body into the loosing mode again. As I said I lost 19 pounds and stopped, my "diet" has basically stayed the same as it was when I was loosing. The only differance that I can account for it maybe, is the steroid shots recently, don't know if the inj. make you gain like the oral ones did. I'm open to any advice, if someone doesn't want to post here, they can PM or email me. I was also wondering if any one is going to use any diet pills? I'm concerned they would not react well with all of my meds. Love Vickie |

RE: Diet
Red...I'm not sure whether to join in or not. would like to lose 30 # in the 12 weeks BUT don't know how much more I can cut. Lately with all of my stomach problems I have been eating really well and cut all the junk and lots of calories. I 'm doing between 1200 and 1400 calories a day and have not lost an ounce in 2 weeks so I'm going to keep up with the rest and just watch. between the diabetes and the food allergies and now the stomach ailments on top of things I'm pretty limited anyway. Will be keeping track and supporting whoever needs it. CAP God is never late. In the end it doesn't matter how many years were in your life but how much life was in your years. |

RE: Diet
Good morning all.... i am going to go through this thread again later and then comment on each of your plans and make a list that we can all follow. Also, we all need to think about an award at the end of the diet of 12 weeks... if you want, it can be as simple as a painted item from me for the one who looses the most or stays the closest to their goals that they set.
Vickie, the steriods will stunt weight loss. Most likely the best way to get this moving again would be to increase your exercise, however, with all that you are going through, I would not suggest anything other than an extra step here or there. Do you have a bic at home..? That might help, no more than 5 minutes at a time, maybe starting once a day for a week then move to twice a day for the second week etc. Just a thought. Cap...I understand about the stomach issues, I have been dealing with this for about 5 years now. What helps me is to drink a lot of water and of course take my medication like I am suppose to, but the water always seems to help and that will help with weight loss also. You are on a low enough diet plan in terms of calories, are you able to walk more.... ??? Red Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind. |

RE: Diet
I'm going to try the special K thing. I will eat a bowl of the strawberry ones for breakfast and lunch and then eat a regular supper. If I increase my water i should be able to drop the weight. When I was working I was walking 7 miles a night on my med pass and I drank 4 16 oz. bottles of water, usually with a squirt of lemon in them. I stayed slim because of this.
Red you are the most generous person in the world for offering the prize I wish I had the money to donate something, but since they cut me down to less than half my pay since Oct. and my husband was off with surgery we have to use every penny wisely. If I get the penalty money maybe I will be able to help you buy paints or something. Love you guys. GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY AND OUR PRESIDENT! |

RE: Diet
By the way don't forget to weigh yourself with the same thing on or naked everytime. I weighed myself the other day with and without clothes and there is a 3 lb. weight difference.
