RE: Diet
I will know more Monday afternoon once I see the pain management Dr and see if he is going to change up my meds. I would love to get back on topomax. The month that I was on it, it truly helped my pain (why, I don't know) as well as helped me to loose weight. And the weight loss is why the Dr put me on it. He said even a weight loss of 5 pounds would help my back, although I am not that over weight.

As soon as I know, I will post to let you know. But I think most of it is just going to be will power and the fact that I am back to work. I won't be sitting at home grazing, and I tend to drink a lot more water at work than I do when sitting at home. I have already learned how to cut down my portions (drink a full glass of water just before supper so that there isn't as much room for food). Either that or I just feel fuller faster.

RE: Diet
I do use splenda all the time....also starting using cinnimon to help lower sugar levels....alot of my problem right now is inactivity Luckily I still have my membership at the health club for one more month..they forgot to cancel it...so I might be heading to the warm water pool just to relax...especially before the big day(s) next week...need to do some "Zenning" too...cuz I don't want to jump off the stand and start choking my former employer or w.c.lawyer....HA

RE: Diet
Well it sounds as if we are going to all be ready for the big day. Hate to say this guys but now that I've seen the prizes I'm going to starve myself so I get one. I already have the place on my wall picked out. Sorry but it doesn't look good for me winning at Bingo with my big 1

GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY AND OUR PRESIDENT!

RE: Diet

Red >>> I haven't been able to walk since the injuries but am ready to try. going to try the treadmill for maybe 10-15 minutes at a time and see how my knee and ankle respond. Wanted to walk outside, which I love and my attorney advised me against it. I like walking outside much better than a treadmill but will listen to him. Drin about 6-16 oz bottles of water a day. The reglan is keeping me up all night so the Dr told me to take 2 a day instead of 4. Not helping. I am up all night. I find that as long as I eat no more that the equivalant to a piece of fruit at one time i'm not too bad. The gastroparesis doesn't act up at least. Now I am still eliminating foods. Gluten seems to be a problem at this point. I see the ENT for help with my food allergies/intolerances on the 23rd. In the meantime I'm trying to get healthy so am looking forward to this. Thanks red for pulling it together and CC for starting the post.
