Is it too late....?

I had several surgeries on both hands for carpal tunnel, tendonytis and thumb triggering since 2004.
Although I kept complaining for arms/shoulders pain since injury and it is docoumented in several chart notes, but never was given diagnosis for these complaints and was never accepted as separate dx by w/c. Since at that time I din't know better and I did not have atty, I never really paid attention.

Today I spoke with paralegal at atty office and she said it is too late adding dx's for shoulders/arms because I stopped working in March 2006. I am having lots of pain especially in right shoulder/arm and also have problems with all fingers.

Is it too late trying to add dx's for shoulders/arms? How to do it?

I know w/c will deny as not work related as they denied rest of finger problems as not work related and have to fight for treatment.

I also have new attending physician who is trying to deal with Voc Rehab issues right now, lots of paperwork and don't wan't to make him mad. Previous doctor abandoned me, didn't want to deal with w/c anymore and it is very hard in my area trying to find doctor who will take w/c.
