red1030 Wrote:What a great subject and yet multifaceted in that so many people use so many types of diets to loose weight. There is the akins, jenny craig, weight watchers, nutra systems, south beach now, and what Wink said above... Wink I have never heard of that one either, however, there is also the increase your physical exercize, which most of us, due to circumstances have some difficulty with.

Red, the GF Balloon Diet is relatively new. Like I was telling Chris, on this diet you can eat all you want while manipulating the scales in your favor, depending on the amount of diet devices used with this diet. My 2 cents? Frankly, I think it's just fabulous.

RE: Dieting?
Okay, since you guys are going to make a contest out of this and you haven't started yet I thought I would paste a copy of an exercise email I received. Ya'll don't yell at me, I'm just kiddin' Smile I know I'm a mean monster Sad

Exercise Routine

If you're over 30, you might want to take it easy at first, then do it faster as you become more proficient.
It may be too strenuous for some.

Always consult your doctor before starting any exercise program!

SCROLL DOWN...

NOW SCROLL UP...

That's enough for the first day... Great job!!!

Kentuckygal good we will have fun and all be skinny in no time. I need to get rid of 15-20 lbs. My jeans are getting real tight, my Mom would have said it's like putting 10 lbs of , you know what, in a 5 lb sack.

RE: Dieting?
I used to always be very slim, but since this injury I have discovered that I can have back fat. It's not a lot, but I hate it! I can't do situps or crunches, so I am having a hard time figuring out what type of excercise to do to get rid of it. I know that if I would quit drinking Dr Pepper all day, that would help, but I am addicted to the Dr!

RE: Dieting?
I really like a nice cold beer. Unfortunately I can't have one while on the pain meds. I'm also having trouble with losing muscle since it's being replaced with fat. I can't exercise like I did so I'm getting flabby. I do stretch every day a couple of times and I try to walk as much as I can, but I tire and my back aches so bad. I'm trying my best to keep in good shape so when I get my surgery I have a shorter recovery time and I can get back to work quicker. That is if IC ever ok's it. Of course I keep reading where so many of you have had surgeries that didn't work and it scares me. Limbo and a couple of others have had the same thing I'm going for and to all of your credit none of you have told me any horror stories or tried to talk me out of it.

GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY AND OUR PRESIDENT!
