RE: Got lucky with my belly
Cap, I am so happy for you! It's going to be a pain to have to change and watch what you eat, but the alternative could be so much worse! Now try to relax!

RE: Got lucky with my belly
Cappy,
I'm so glad that your test were good and nothing was found wrong. When I had my colonoscopy, the worst part (beside the prep), was waiting afterwards for the biopsy results. I hope you can control your spasms and pain with a new diet, and less tummy meds. Maybe when they run the allergy test, they will find the culprit to your problems. Good luck my friend and keep us informed. Love vickie |

RE: Got lucky with my belly
Morning all......"Sweet Tooth" funny you mentioned goats' milk. When I was born I threw everything up. Had to drink goat's milk. It's the only thing would stay down. Many, many moons later when my grandson was born same problem. His poor little bellly was torn up from the formula before at 5 months anyone would really help my daughter. He could only drink goat's milk or a very expensive formula. Gastro tells me this is hereditary. Mom had ulcers, Dad died of stomach cancer and look at me and the baby, multiple food problems. I really wish I had more access to the fresh and natural. I have a strong reaction to preservatives and food coloring so try really hard not to eat anything in a package but it's so hard at times. Vickie....going to do my best to calm down. my first upper GI was at 10 and all it showed was spasms. I guess way back then with all the tomach problems I had I probably had multiple food intolerances then and back in the day no one knew any better. I was raised in a large Itlaion family that thought FOOD helped everything so I figure they probably inspite of my belly woes just kept making me feel better The biopsies he took of my upper were to show maybe celiacs's disease. The colonoscopy I was lucky to be a bore and not have even the tiniest of polyps.Ksgirl.....I am a worrier, always have been. I just told hubby that I have been really upset because I see retirement in my near future hopefully along with a WC settlement and was worried because he is having to search and search for a job that his body can handle. I am so used to being the one who carries the benefits and works that I ws uncomfortable with the thought of not ever returning to a job. It'll take some time for me to get used to but I have no alternative and will do my best to relax and accept the changes. BB>>>>thanks my friend. Always a pleasure. BK------Thanks so much. Saved it to my favorite and will read as soon as I'm done here. Cookie Monster^^^^^^^ I could only think of you going through this. The pain you must have from your pancreas I can only imagine. I am left with bad nerve spasms and allergic reactions and want to scream. God bless you. Thanks Crabby for the prayers. They have been answered. Strenghth in #'s. Love, CAP

RE: Got lucky with my belly
Cappy is their anyplace closeby where you can buy Fresh raw cows milk and butter? where I can drink the raw milk I cannot drink the processed crap....you live near some amish or mennonite people with cows? or excess garden goodies?when we lived overseas I was still able to garden in 5 gal buckets and tomatos and green beans are easy to can....and all can be frozen with little or no effort....try buying only frozen or fresh veggies without the seasonings and extras thrown in....any of the milks you buy are gonna be full of extra preservatives...here on the farm Milk kept really cold lasts about 3-4 days in a store they have added so much it can last up to 21 days....and when our cow is fresh(new calf less than 4 mo old) we dont bother to drink any milk older than 24 hrs except to pull heavy cream to make butter then the milk is turned to cheese and the whey thrown to dogs and pigs......we have been known to feed upwards of 2 gallons a milk a day to dogs and pigs.....but it sure makes for happy animals

RE: Got lucky with my belly
Jayne ...I live about an hour from Lancaster County so do shop there about once a month. I buy all of my meat there and produce but of course I only get a week's worth of produce. Then I use a Trader Joes's for organic fruit when I run out. I am having a real problem with raw fruits and veg. When I eat a salad or fresh pear I am doubled up for hours. Need to start buying fresh and cooking everything. The veggies aren't a problem but I love fruit and have no idea what I can eat besides applesause. And even with that I have to look for th e "no sugar added" since I'm diabetic. I can do this and I know there's alot of work involved but so be it. too much pain everywhere else to have it in my belly too, and the pain is from my throat all the down to......................... RE: Got lucky with my belly
Jayne, I don't think you would find many that would sell fresh milk right out from the Cow anymore. They claim it may be unsafe to drink. I would be careful on this issue. That TV program (Dirty Jobs) even made the same statement about not drinking fresh from the Cow....

RE: Got lucky with my belly
Cap - there is no way my pancreas pain is as bad as your tummy pain unless I have an acute attack and those are dam bad. Even though my right side always hurts and is very tender I don't have the spasms and allergic reactions you are having to deal with.
They are starting to sell organic eggs for sure and I think milk here in the grocery stores (at Stater Bros. anyway). Do your markets carry such items? I don't buy them but I am sure they are quite expensive. I was also raised on goats milk...,boy was I a little fatty as a baby!!! There is a pic of me in a round wicker chair kind of like one of those pappason chair things and you couldn't see the chair for the fat little butterball that was in it, LOL!!! Can you eat bananas or does that create a problem with your tummy or diabetes? Am racking my brain trying to think of food you can eat but since my diet is so horrible I'm not much help Hope you are feeling better and the spasms have eased.Love ya, monster Please click the link below to help provide food for homeless animals.
