Building this...
dollhouse which I have had my eye on at a thrift store for over a month now. The price started out at 25.00 and dropped to 10.00 today. I just happened to walk in at the right time and bought it. The directions aren't with it so I got lucky and found an auction on ebay for the directions only. While I am waiting for those to arrive I have started painting. What looked like a nice mellow yellow on the bottle cap turned out to be 'Happy Face Yellow" (Red - its' #509). So it's going to be rather bright but with the trim etc. it will be 4 or 5 different colors.

To make a long story short I have been painting for 5 or 6 hours now and probably won't be able to move my head or right arm in the morning so if I'm not around much that's why...I'll be reading but not typing much so careful what you say, LOL...

Anyway I love you guys and here's the link so you can see whta I'm up to or trying to be up to...

RE: Building this...
That is so funny cause yesterday i went to the Goodwill down the street from me to drop off some items, and i saw a box of wooden furniture for a dollhouse for sale. It was 4.99 and had the same exact furniture in the box brand new. It had two arm chairs, grandfather clock and tables, bed etc. Same exact. If i would of known you are building one, i could of bought it and mailed you the furniture. I would probably go back today and it would be gone. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Good luck in building it. It looks beautiful.

RE: Building this...
Monster,
That is quite and undertaken that you have decided on. I think that when your yellow dries it may be mellower, hopefully. I agree with Sweet Tooth that if you can show us your work in progress. Please do be carefull and not over-do it, I know how easy that is. You don't want to have added pain from something that is supposed to be enjoyable.

Years ago my friend bought a dollhouse kit and it took him about 6 months to complete it, but he was working full time and was only working on it part time. The funny thing is, he bought it for his young daughter, but when he finished it, he decided to wait till she grew up to give it to her. He said that it was so delicate, that he wanted her to be able to display it and not play with it.

Is yours for you or for someone else? Good luck with it.

Love
Vickie
