RE: Spoke to my SSDI worker
no.... I called my local SS office and she said it hasnt been posted yet.....what ever that means...but she said she wouldnt know until all the money had been figured out and then they send the award info to her...and to watch my bank....(that the day after xmas is depressing to look at...) she did however give me her ext number and told me to call everyday....she didnt mind and would check for me........I have no confirmation number to check it online...and she said she would know before that......waiting is not my strong suit......

RE: Spoke to my SSDI worker
According to wc and the company that my LTD hired to get me on SSDI I was approved in August and I have still not received anything telling me that I was approved. The only reason I know that much is wc and my attorney wanted me to drop my SSDI application and settle with them. They were both surprised when they were told I had already been approved. Lawyer is very unhappy. They have to do a set-aside and he can't get all the settlement. Poor baby...According to the main ss office it has been turned over to my local office, which apparently only has one phone line and you can never get ahold of them, always busy.
I just had major back surgery and can't go down there and pitch a fit so I was wondering if anyone knows how you can find out anything. |

RE: Spoke to my SSDI worker
You can check the current status of your claim here:
https://secure.ssa.gov/apps6z/ISBA/main.html Once there click on "Check your claim status". "In the interest of peace, one should change their signature often" (or when threatened by someone who packs heat)

Your Almost done Jayne, the Panel of Dr.'s to Review Your Case is the Next to the Last Step I Believe! If they Approve, and You have the Credits You Need, which I'm Sure You do, the Approval should be Coming Soon!! If You went Direct Deposit on Your Application, check Your Checking Account, the Money usually comes before the Acceptance Letter!! Best of Luck My Friend!!

RE: Spoke to my SSDI worker
FYI, in may case, I got my comfirmation number ( needed for internet access ) about a week before I got my first check.
Genegene, What I find interesting, how does wc and the attorney know you got approved?????? As far as medical set aside. I believe that loss of wages and the impairement rating are completely seperate. In my case there is no medical set aside. That is because of TEXAS law regarding wc. There has been some interesting talk about the Utica Mohawk Language. You may want to do some research on it. Take Care 8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. Jesus died for our sins. RE: Spoke to my SSDI worker
Halftrak, yes, there are a number of things that could be causing the delay in release of benefits (post entitlement issue). The people at the 800 number would need to ask a few questions about your specific situation in order to determine the exact cause. They can help you understand what may be going on behind the scene at SSA payment processing center. If you call, ask for Jeff at x217.
