Jayne, I am sorry as well. My brother is the same way and I know that it is hard for him to even talk with people, he gets so down and worked up. I will say a prayer for an extra dose of peace for you.

I too have a problem during the Christmas holiday. I'm here if you want to PM me or if you want I'll send my phone number and we can talk. I miss my daughter and grandbabies during the holidays and want to be with them. There are also other reasons that this time of year is bad. I hope you don't have too much depression this year, remember that we are all here for you and that you are very much loved.

I too pray you have some peace from the blues and deep sadness!
I also have a bad time during this season. I miss my parents and the things we used to do together....since they are gone....things are simply NOT the same. I also had a very tramatic thing happen to me in 1978, on the 19th of December which I have never been able to let go, as the ghost still haunts and hurts me to this day. We never again put up a Christmas tree after that incidence...I do not even decorate...ZERO, Nada, nothing.
So please know that you are not alone in your sadness...many people are reminded of their worst inner feelings this time of the year. You will be ok, WE will all be ok, we need to just stick together and lean on each other, and remind ourselves what this time of year is really about...we are suppose to be celebrating the birthday of Jesus! But sometimes the feelings we have inside make it hard.
Take a deep breath and exhale "letting it ALL go"

Morning all........What sadness is here for all of us. This will be my first year for not putting a tree up or decorating at all. No one will be here, we're going to my daughter's house and I have no interest in Christmas at all this year. I have bought the "necessary " gifts but that's it. Have no idea why this year is worse/different than others have been but it is. I watch people rush around on the road and in and out of stores and just wonder how many friends/family they have to buy and buy for. I wonder how many have fed a starving child and forfeighted one gift for someone who really doesn't need it. It's none of my business what others do but along with my own heartache i do feel others and know that the world should be different. Will continue to pray for all.

Lilly I am so sorry. Trauma's are very difficult to get through and sometimes we never do. If you need me , you know where to find me. I only have one shoulder also but it's all yours whenever you need it.

I can't Speak for All, but I think the Biggest Problem I have this Time of Year is knowing that since My Injury, Christmas will never be the Same. The Pain is Over Bearing and I can't Help Decorate or Shop, I can't Help Build the Little Ones Gifts, (Grandchildren), I can't get on the Floor and Wrestle and Play with them. I just Realized what I Typed, and it is full of I's. I think that's what Depression does to You, too many I's, and not enough We's. Maybe it's Time that I look Past Myself and try and Make this Holiday Happy for those around Me, I did it before My Injury, maybe if I work Hard at it, I can do it Again! Pain is an All-Consuming and Mind and Soul Altering thing, and it's All Too Easy to let is Guide and Rule Your Life! As I said I can't Speak for All, but I'm going to do My Best to look Past the Pain, and try and Turn this Holiday Around!! I think the People around Me that have to Deal with Me Every Day Deserve at Least One Day of Happiness, and I'm going to give it My All to give them More than One Day!! Happy Holidays to All!!
