computer challenged finally logged on new name
Hello,

I was "Arieshead" on the "old forum"...then sucessfully registered today under the name "blondie" - since I am known to be an airhead. So then I tried to log on again under "blondie" and had problems. So I picked "bluemoon" and by Jove, I think I've got it.

I have read all threads on the new forum. Thanks Admin. for making some cool changes.

Something about me: I'm an IW from California. Being out of work for 2.5 years has been very hard on me. I have neck and low back pain with objective findings on MRI's, xrays and discograms. I've been found MMI and P & S by my PTP and the QME. Both indicated I may need surgery in the future on both body parts as well as injections and meds for pain...which I can't tolerate due to GI problems. My PTP is an orthopedic surgeon and performed surgery on my left shoulder which was successful...even though I don't have full ROM. The 2 doctors have a difference of opinion on WBI (QME being lower of course) and I have a feeling of impending doom. My PTP is not a great report writer so QME has requested additional information from PTP.

I can't return to my previous occupation which involved heavy lifting and overhead work (I have restrictions). But I am in limbo whilst the 2 doctors hash out the WBI and determine whether more testing should be done. I think QME wants to do a FCA (or is it FAC or FAE). Not sure what that involves but in the meantime I am getting older and freaking out as to whether I will be allowed a SJDB voucher to retrain for a new career. The minimum rating for a voucher is 15%.

I posted a message under "blondie" about my financial problems between WC & SSDI.

I guess I'm writing this message to say I'm not trying to pull the wool over anyone's eyes by name changing...I had to change my user name twice because I'm a dunderhead and have spent almost all afternoon trying to re-register.

I find this forum to be friendly and informative. Like most IW I tend to get emotional and my feelings are easily hurt so I hope nobody pounces on me if I mess up and unintentionally sound like a fool when posting.

That's all for now...just wanted to explain...I tend to explain too much.

Hope you all have a pain free evening.

bluemoon (I always did like the song)

Welcome back Blue moon...glad you are here. Don't worry about making a mistake in writing or anything else for that matter, we are a pretty understanding group. I mess up all the time, and know one has pouced on me yet....lol...enjoy...you have enough to worry about without worrying about anything else extra.

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.

Glad you were able to reregister Bluemoon. I am also in So Cal and have now been off work for three years due to a horrible AME report. Have cervical, low back (for some reason that one just escaped me...), both hips, left knee and GI problems as well. Sounds like we are in much the same boat. I now have to change all my docs due to none of them being in the MPN system which was not provided to me for over 2 1/2 years. My atty says I have to so it sucks. At this moment I don't have any doc and ususally have an ortho surgeon, neuro surgeon and pain mgt specialist. I am now down to -zero- docs.

You can try talking to state vocational rehabilitation specialist. You may qualify for their program but I am not sure. I got hooked up with them through school and am now in the program. I can no longer do my old job either and WC was no help so I just took matters into my own hands. Please PM me if I can do anything to help.
