i got a letter in the mail today saying that i got to have a conciliation. i called the wc board and the lady said i have to have my doctors send in all my medical reports especially my most recent ones. i was wondering what is the purpose of a conciliation. my wc case manager said its to determine the extent of my disability. i'm still a little confused could someone please simplify this for me.

Hi there.
I don't have a clue as to what they are up to!!
I'm bumping this up so someone "in the know" can answer.

RE: curious!!
This is what kills me about the medical practice. Everything is HIPPA when it comes to medical staff. You can even get fined or worse if you talk about someones diagnosis or records, but as soon as the IC wants to know something they can go through your entire medical history even if it has nothing to do with your injury and heavens only knows how many people look at your private life that really aren't on a need to know basis. In my opinion the government is permitting the IC too much power. Prior to voting we should all check to see where those we vote for stand on these issues.

GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY AND OUR PRESIDENT!

Sounds to Me like they are Preparing to Send You to an IME (Independent Medical Exam), and then Possibly giving You an Impairment Rating, or Possible MMI. If You don't have Counsel, You may want to Speak to One or Two, to get their Opinion, and it may be Time to Hire One! Best of luck, and I Hope All Goes Well!!Wink
