My Hearing Yesterday!!

My Hearing Yesterday!!
FINALLY, after 12 Hearings, Two Years, and 14 Petitions, My first Round Before a W/C Judge is Complete!! I Had to Testify for the Fourth time, and have the Defense Counsel Brow Beat me for Twenty minutes trying to get Me to Slip up as I Truly Believe He doesn't Feel I am as Injured as I am, but ALL Depos. are Complete, All Testimony is in, and the Attorneys have until Mid-January to File their Briefs on the Case!!! After that, the Judge Rules, and I will Probably have a decision in Mid to Late April!! The Judge, along with my Attorney Stated that this is by Far the Largest first round they have ever Seen, and it was Mainly due to the Defense Counsel using EVERY Trick in the Books to Deny my care! My Dr. has Deemed Me totally disabled, and as Normal, the IME Dr. feels I can Work Part-Time, which I explained in My Testimony is Impossible, due to the Fact that I don't know from Day to Day how High My Pain Levels are going to be, and I could not in Good Conscience Commit to a Work Schedule that my Pain will not allow Me to Regularly Keep! My Attorney is Very Confident on All Aspects of the Case, and He Commended Me for Holding up Well in the Line of Fire of the Defense! Now it's just the Waiting Game for the Decision!! I Want to Take a Moment to Thank All of You that have Helped Me get through this, and for Your Excellent Advice and Moral Support!! It's great to Have a group of Folks Like You in My Corner while going through these Last Two Years!! I learned a Lot that has helped me in My case by being on this Board, and the friends I've made along the Way are Priceless to Me!! And 1171, even though You and I don't Seem to See Eye to Eye lately, Your Info. and Assistance was Greatly appreciated Also. Now let's just all Pray that the Judge is able to look at My Case with Clear and Just Eyes, and the decision is in My Favor!! Thanks Again Everyone!!!Smile

RE: My Hearing Yesterday!!
My Dear Friend Limbo,

I am as proud of you as your lawyers are for holding up so well under the gun. I never doubted for one minute that you would fall. As long and hard as you have been fighting it has only made you a stronger willed individual. Things to do not come easy in life and especially dealing with these type of issues. We always have to be up for the fight even when we are not. It is God that gives us that strength and guidence.

This is behind you now and you will have better things to look forward to when this is completely over for you. I truly feel this in my heart. I know God will lead that judge to make the right decision. Continue to have faith my dear friend. We are all here to support you and help carry you through this.

As the song Lean On Me states:
Lean on Me
When your not strong,
I'll be your friend,
To help you carry on.

I will be praying for you my friend. Love ya!

RE: My Hearing Yesterday!!
Limbo,
I'm very happy for you to have this part over and done with. I will also say a prayer that the judge decides in your favor. I'm so glad that you were able to keep your cool with the other attorneys questioning. I have only had one hearing so far and the other attorney was "fishing" for info from me, but I did my best to keep from getting rattled and it was hard, I don't look forward to answering more of his questions at the next hearing. Good luck my friend. You give a ray of hope for all of us.

Love
Vickie

RE: My Hearing Yesterday!!
Limbo...this is great news. Maybe there will be some end to your struggle with the w/c system. I prayers are with you daily. You are a man to be admired by all and I am sure the judge saw that. Honor is not easily disquised and it is not something that is noted except by others who have honor... so I am going to assume that YOUR judge has honor so he or she can't help but see yours. I still say they owe you a medal of honor for your actions during your injury, not all this trouble that the W/C system is known to throw at a person. Just know, even thought I have been absent from the computer, my thoughts and prayers are never far away... Red

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.

RE: My Hearing Yesterday!!
Still

I pray that you don't have to wait that long for a decision, but I am so proud of you for sticking to your guns!!!! I also hope the judge hits the IC with all penalties available under the law for the denials of treatment that they have used against you.

RE: My Hearing Yesterday!!
Thanks Everyone!! The Battle for now is Over, and I and My attorney feel Very Good about the Evidence, and the way all of the Depos. went! I'm not sure how many Depos. there were, but My Attorney says He needs Two Large Brown Folder type Brief Cases for All of My papers, and the Judges front of Their Desk has about a 6 inch Lip, and My File is 3 inches Above that!! That Judge is going to be Busy going through all of that, but I think the Decision will come Pretty Quick. I would Guess by the Beginning of April I will have the Decision in My Hand!!! Thanks Again Everyone, and I'm Praying for All of You Also!!!Smile
