RE: mileage reimbursement
The answer is sometimes. For the mileage to be reimbursable the treatment must be outside of your geographic area and not available locally. If the treatment is local or if the treatment may be obtained locally, you are not entitled to reimbursement. You are, however, entitled to reimbursement for mileage to attend an IME even if it is conducted locally.

RE: mileage reimbursement
Wow. They do not pay for you to go to the doctors mileage wise? I get paid to go to the doctors or go to the pharmacy to pick up my meds. Amazing what different states do. I guess i could say i got lucky getting that paid back to me. At least something is good.

carpal tunnel recurrence/ neuropathy / RSD.
1/29/07 injury date. Permanent. PIR settlement 8/4/08 10%

RE: mileage reimbursement
I have only been paid mileage once, and that was when I had to go for thier IME. I was told that if my doctor appointments were not over 80 miles round trip that my W/C I/C doesn't pay mileage. I'm in Pa.

RE: mileage reimbursement
I was told the same thing as Vickinat. I have to travel over 30 miles one way 3 days a week for PT. All of my Dr's appointments are also that distance as is the hosp for any tests. I try to make as many appointments on the same day as I can. I have already gone to 3 different appointments on one day to save money. The problem I have is it's hard on me physically to do this, but it's that or use all of my money I get from WC on gas so I can make my appointments.

GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY AND OUR PRESIDENT!

RE: mileage reimbursement
In TN if it is more than 7 miles one way you can get paid for mileage to Dr's and PT. I also got mileage for the Outpatiens surgery and going fo rthe MRI.

RE: mileage reimbursement
Well what do you know I finally found something good about California WC system. They do pay all mileage for doctors and pharmacy visits no matter the distance.
