SSDI.. I got it the first try..
I got a call yesterday from a lady from SSDI office. She said my SSDI claim has been approved and i should get my first check in three weeks. I almost fell out of my chair in shock. I had been told by more then a few people that i would never get it the first time i applyed. Well i did...

So please beleive there is hope and for the first time sense my accident i feel like i have not been screwed with. I am on top of the world and very happy i did the paper work and stuff correct. Did not even have to use my lawyer so the money is all mine. Wont be alot but it will pay some back bills and the kids will have a good christmas this year.

Just thought i would share this with you all and maybe give some good news and let you all know that sometimes the I/W gets what he/she should with out any hassle.

Congratulations!
Now keep a BINDER titled "Social Security" and put every single thing you receive from them in there. Make sure you have a separate page for telephone calls...put date, time & how you spoke to on it!)

HOLY COW!!! Yeah, you're the first I've ever heard of being approved that quickly! I'm not sure whether to congratulate you or offer my sympathies that your injuries are significant enough that it was obvious immediately you would qualify. Both I guess. Glad things moved quickly though and you can move on with positive things.

And I definitely agree, keep yourself a highly detailed file of names, dates, phone calls, and keep everything you ever receive in it. Never stop. If it's the slightest bit relevant to your claim, in it goes. You can't be too careful. Be extra proactive since you are your own legal representative. Do exactly what you'd expect of your lawyer if you had one.
