RE: Anyone on forum from Richmond, Virginia
Hello, I am sorry that I am not in Richmond, but it was nice to see someone else from VA. I am from N. Virginia. I had a great place that did my FCE, but, like I said, it was in Manassas VA. I found mine from a recommendation from my Dr. He told me that if he ordered the test, I could go to his choice, vs. useing one recommended from the i/c. As it turned out, the place I went to was all about me and not what the i/c wanted from them. Have you asked your Dr. for a recommendation? Good Luck.

RE: Anyone on forum from Richmond, Virginia
I am not in Richmond either, I'm in the Newport News area but just wanted to throw my support out there too. I had my FCE done in Hampton and while the report actually was written mostly in my favor, I could tell through the whole test they were really baiting me and it was my Drs suggestion, my IC actually DIDN'T ask for the exam! The FCE is so irrelevant to me. I was constantly asked if I could do this or that. I couldn't get them to define "do". I kept telling the examiner I could physically perform most of the tasks he asked but they were very painful and as it went on it hurt more. Ok, I can lift a 20# box once and move it 5 feet. That doesn't mean I can do it repeatedly or that it's even a safe weight for me. My biggest complaint is that it's just too subjective.
