Vocational expert evaluation and rating
Hi all, I enjoy the site, it helps to know I'm not alone.
I am at MMI from a surgery standpoint. My comp check of course has stopped. My work tells me the chances of my coming back are slim because of my ristrictions and the need for medication for pain. My lawyer set me up an intrview with a Vocational Expert. I received a copy of their report in which they said in their opinion I was 100% vocationally disabled. I am waiting to hear from my job, as far as a letter of termination. And my lawyer sent this letter to my wc case manager. If any one has been to this place, drop me a line concerning what I should look for next , as far as a time line with wc offering setalment and also I have filed for SSDI and appealed, how do you think this new info might help with SS people??
In a nut shell, my probem is a back injury from a fall at work 2/02/07, have not been back, just recently had discogram showing last 3 disc severely torn and my pain with out meds goes off the chart.
Dr. has declined surgery due to so much damage he did not think it would be successfull. So I'm stuck! Let me hear from any one who might be able to shed some light on any of these areas.

Thanks and my prayers for all
Wt from Ala.

WT,
Sorry to hear about your back. With the SS appeal, do you have an attorney who specialize in SSDI? If so, you don't have to worry...my ss atty got it done for me. Sorry to hear the doctors can't help you, have you gone for several opinions about your back? As far as settlements, ask your attorney to tell you what he thinks your company might offer.

I'm not Sure of the State You are in, but if You are MMI, and Your Job doesn't have a Position for You, and Voc. Rehab. says You are Vocationally Disabled, in Pa. You would still be receiving Your TTD Payments from w/c. You may want to check into that, and See if You are still Eligible for Payment with the New Voc. Rehab. info. Best of Luck, and I Hope things look up for You!!Wink

Knowledge is Power, Especially in the World of w/c. Learn as Much as You can about Your States w/c Laws, and don't Fight Battles alone, They Use Attorney's, and so Should You!!
