Oh No we ain't all smarties here...I'm HERE!

I still can't figure out why they put the ABC's in algebra. Just doesn't make sense to this girl. LOL....My poor hubby has tried and tried to get me to understand it. I think my poor teacher passed me because she felt sorry for me...I tried so hard to figure out why the ABC's were there. Or the teacher passed me becaused she didn't what me the following year...lol. Math was one of my favorite classes too. I think I will leave all the important math to you all. I do well with other peoples taxes...pretty scary don't you think. LOL

I have to absolutely agree with everything Spring just said, ROFL...

Okay here's one you math whizzes:

Find the distance between the pairs of points. Express answer in simplest radical form.

(4,8) and (2,12)

I'm coming out with the square root of 436 and am lost from there because the square root of 436 is 20.88061302 and I know I'm supposed to go further but I'm entirely lost. Eeeeekkk helpppp

RE: WC Friends  -- OT
Well I may have a lot of college but I can't spell. Some of it is mistyped words but some of it is all me......lol. My worst subject is English...I am still trying to figure it out. I was writing a dissertation, and my APA was great, but the english....I had to go to the learning lab all the time...

Monster I was taking my Ph.d classes on line though a very good college. I loved it. My husband is doing it now. When I became ill, I couldn't put two thoughts together for about 2 months or more. I was in the hospital the entire summer of 2005. I could not finish then, but once we get moved to Oregon, I may start up again. Of course my husband doesn't really want me to spend another $30,000 dollars to finish especially since I will probably never return to any type of employment. My disease does not get better and each year I loose more function. Not complaining, I have accepted it, I just know my days are numbered. I don't expect to be living by the time I reach 65 years of age. So it may all be pointless. Please I am not trying to sound like a sad violin so don't take it that way, just saying that my disease changes things. Sometimes I just say, I did it all before I was 40 years of age. I have a husband who adores me of 33 years, 3 wonderful and successful children who are all happily married with grand children for me, and great jobs. I have a masters degree and I had an exceptional career. One I loved and was very good at. What more could I ask for. I traveled though out the world, I lived in Japan, Okinawa, Italy, and all over the US while I was in the Navy. Even spent some time in the gulf in 1991. I believe that God's hand is in every thing that happens to us, as long as we stand still and listen. Anyway, I said all this to say, I may go back to school I may not...depends. Thanks for asking.

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.

chrischris Wrote:Are you still going into my field of accounting?   I can do your homework, for a price!    When I was in the 5th grade my high school brothers paid me to do their Algebra.   They also paid me to make their beds!     I was doing double entry wheeling and dealin since I could talk!      LOL!

Yeah...the acctg part is easy (well easier) but the college algebra which I haven't even gotten to yet as well as statistics which I may use once in a blue moon are not sounding to enticing!  However in the fall I finally talked my counselors into taking a FUN class...Digital Photography...so, to celebrate I went and bought myself a new toy today.  A Canon Powershot S3 IS...Have no clue how to use it yet, but it has lots of knobs and buttons (uh oh, Dallas will be all over that, LOL)  Also a PhotoShare7 portable digital photo album that I can use at the swap meet when I got to sell my plumies.

I had a good time celebrating Dallas' birthday! Smile

I took Accounting 2 years ago at the local community college and also the online course. It was a B$%%^&H but I'm glad I did it!
