Apologies
My apologies to those that I have offended. Just getting over surgery on my foot, my neck kills me everytime the weather changes and the pain meds just don't do anything. Except make me mean. Going to the pain management doctor tomorrow. Hopefully he can get me in to see the neurosurgeon and I can get my old disks reinserted. I sure hope they kept them frozen or something. I hate this plate in my neck. Over 2 years since the ACDF, my voice still hasn't come back, which my wife thinks is a good thing, and I still can't swallow right. Sorry for running the new guy off. Correct or at least understandable use of the English language is a pet pevee. As you can tell proper sentence structure and paragraph use aren't big concerns. Thanks for letting me rant.....

RE: Apologies
Stiffnecked, I hope I didn't come across as nasty in my reply to you. I just understand that not everyone has correct grammar and spelling. I try to remember that just because english was my favorite subject in school not everyone "gets" it and not everyone was born and raised speaking the english language. I also know that we want all of the newcomers to feel welcome here.
I am sorry that you are facing so many difficulties and so much pain. It really is frustrating isn't it? You are more than welcome to vent, laugh, fuss, and offer help. I say that we should start all over again and let bygones be bygones. What do you say? |

RE: Apologies
stiffneck, it takes a lot of courage to admit ask for forgiveness on something. You have never said a mean thing to me, so I guess the only thing I can say is that your apology is accepted. I am sorry to hear of your plight. It is awlful the number of people on this forum who are in so much agony as a result of doing their job. Fresh start... lets all be here for each other... love Red

RE: Apologies
Hi.
I missed the post .... but understand completely what the effects of pain can do. I do pray you get some relief soon. I admire you stiffnecked....appologies are hard to do & you only show what a great person you are by being able to do so! Yes, Red....fresh start for all! Lilly

RE: Apologies
Hi Stiffnecked! I don't know what you did but you can rest assured, you aren't the only one who has said something that you later find has offended others.
With varying pain levels and medications, it's understandable that we can't be "stable" all the time and others here realize that. I'm sorry you are in so much pain from your ACDF and can't help but grit my teeth when you post you want your old disks reinserted. If it's not too much trouble, can I ask you what disks you had replaced and maybe talk about the surgery and recovery some. I'm going for a 2nd opinion (actually 3rd) as is required in California, and will probably have ACDF soon. I/C has turned down ADR, and will not aurthorize other without Fusion. Stuck between a rock and a hard place. Thanks Stiffnecked.

RE: Apologies
I see no need for a formal set of apologies unless true feelings were or might been hurt by simple means of pain bringing on certain issues.
Stiffneck, were all do the same thing from time to time. I wouldn't worry about it much. For sure many here are strong enough to know these things happen. Reply's are intended solely for informational purposes. They are based on personal opinions, experience, or research and are "not to be taken as fact or legal advice", otherwise, always consult an attorney or a doctor. |

RE: Apologies
Thanks guys.
I'm sorry for being disruptive. When I was in grade school I was always sitting in the hall or the principals office. I have ADD as well. I'm also sorry about bringing the other guys legal problems to everyones attention. My bad. chrischris, not much I want to say about the ACDF. It either works wonders or it doesn't. Some days are great but when they aren't it really sucks. If you don't do it though you only increase the risk of more permanent nerve damage. I had an ACDF done at C5-6-7. After my last MRI in April the neuro said C 3-4-5 are already starting to show signs that they will be going next. He said the next surgery would have to be a posterior one so they could add rods and screws. |

RE: Apologies
Stiff
I agree with the other's we have all had "those" days, including me. I also know that when I'm very tired, stressed or on certain pain meds my typing and spelling sometimes gets rough. I try to be carefull and not offend people, but it happens. We are all family, so just put it behind you. And I hope you feel better with your pain. I personally can turn into a real witch when I'm hurting alot and see something that irritates me. I try not to take it out on others though, but it does happen to all of us. That was nice of you to apologize, but not needed. Feel better soon Vickie |
