Hello . I was hopeing someone might have any info at all on this problem... I was injured about three weeks ago and sent to the work doctor. Now 3 weeks later after being told a list of problems among impingement in my shoulder my work has told me they have spoken to there lawyers and feel its not work related. They told me I can not return untill healed and closed my claim with wc. Can my dr reverse the decision ? There dr told me it was work related along with my dr .. I'm so confused , and wondering how long does this last? thanks for any help.....

RE: impinngement syndrome
looks like you're going to have to go to the work comp board for a decision.
You should talk to a specialist first http://www.maine.gov/wcb/departments/crs/crsindex.htm they can help explain the process. when workers comp rejects a claim often your health insurance will cover the medical until it's decided. |

RE: impinngement syndrome
I would hire an attorney right away...he'll be able to get the ball rolling for you to protect your interest...as far as how long don't know for sure....it all depends...it sounds as tho they are denying the claim and the games are beginning..thats why you need an attorney, you can't fight this alone...good luck adn welcome to the forum....

RE: impinngement syndrome
Thank you I definatly need to figure out the process. Becouse I dont have short term disabilty and by turning down my claim will loose all insurance in 2 weeks. Wc is not seeming to look out for injured workers.lol... Concidering I weigh 90 lbs and do a job that requires me to lift up to 50lbs for 12 hours above my head..kinda obvious where injury comes from. Reading the discusions in this forum shows me a lawyer would help becouse wc is difficult to understand.

Hi Lost...Welcome to the forum!
Yes, I agree....start calling cert WC lawyers (first consult is usually free) and chose a good one. You need someone (lawyer) on your side so you don't get screwed...and that's what they are up to! Good luck, and let us know how it goes. Take care, Lilly

Hi Lost, and Welcome to the Forum! I have been at this for a while, and by the way Your Employer is Treating You already, save Yourself a Lot of Time and Energy and LAWYER UP Right Away! I don't usually say that, but this One looks like an Up Hill Battle all the Way, especially if they have gotten Their Attorneys Involved already!! Best of Luck, and Please keep Us Informed!!
